We like landmarks. Reaching 1 month, 2 months, 1 year analog-free. Achieving Ultra Member or ECF Veteran status. Hitting 2000 posts in an Ignore Thread. Something to root for, while the real world can be somewhat depressing - nuclear meltdowns, unemployment, foreclosures, crippling gas prices, out of stock blanks.
Ok Well congratulations all on all landmarks then... I get it.. In a week or so Ill be on 7 months vaping, dont really think about it anymore.. Its weird to think i smoked for 14 years...
Have a cool landmark too... This month it has been 3 years since i started trimming horses.. 3 Years of trying to do good and make the world a little bit better for them...
Many are mistreated and die, from pathologies, directly linked to hoofproblems, and most of these are easily avoided if the hoof is trimmed properly.. I was a seemstres, suddenly thinking, I dont care witch colour will be the new black or if it will be pants or skirts this fall..
Maybe some would say it would be better to do something about human suffering, but i figure you dont pick your passion, it picks you..

That's great Michelle. Congrats on three years of following your passion, and for having your own business.
I think it's great when you can make a living doing something you love. I'm sure the horses love you right back! I know that horses are used for a form of therapy, so you can consider that while you are helping with preventing animal suffering, you are also contributing to soothing human suffering as well. Good for you!

I think caring for animals is a noble thing. Especially the ones that have come to depend on us for their well-being and cannot always fend for themselves. Congrats on your 3 years of serving those that serve others.

Agreed. I have mad respect for anyone who is able to work with animals. The sickness and injuries that vets see...I could never do it.
