99 cents sounds like a good deal haha. I honestly have no idea how the cartridge + atomizer works, without leaking and making contact with each other etc. but thats ok. If I can use a cartomizer for now that should be sweet. I'm going to order the kit, and those tenergy batteries, and some dual coil cartos from madvapes! they should work.

Now the thermo tube that it comes with..does this screw into the 801 connection of the spark plug unit itself? That I would put a 510 adapter on the end of that? and then a 510 carto on the end of that?

The thermo tube that comes for free is all I need to use the starter kit at 6v with the right batteries right? I'm started to understand a little bit...lol

the thermo tube uses the same endcaps as the sp2, and some people were lucky they received a complete thermo, lol

but do NOT use the included batteries with the thermo!!!!!!!!

btw i asked james if he would consider offering 510 endcaps and got a 'no' since this is machined in the states it would be too expensive .......

Sweet deal. So I'll still be set to use the Thermo with the SP unit itself? It attaches to the unit and makes it longer? And some people got an entire extra SP unit? WOW

So basically, a SP + thermo + atomizer + cartridge and adapter = ....VERY long? LOL?

510 end caps would be welcome...but I guess the threads should work almost as well.

What exactly is this extension tube anyway, is it just a hollow tube? Why is it necessary to use it at 6 volts?

Nope.

The SP2 and Thermo don't get attached to each other. SP2 and Thermo are 2 separate size hollow tubes. When you place the end caps on the SP2 with a 3.7 battery you have a 3.7v mod. When you place the end caps on the Thermo with 2 3v batteries inside, you have a 6v mod.

Your right. I am interested in trying out an atomizer, I even bought 2 blank 801 cartridges for .50 cents each with my dual coil carto order, should be cool. I'm thinking atomizer + cartridge would taste better and work the same if not better than a regular old cartomizer, but what do I know.

Now dripping onto an atty...that I have to give a shot, if its actually safe.

exactly! as to preference, everybody feels different. i dripped, well it was more of a dip, with a 401 atty for the longest time and liked it

I just re-looked at it and the charger I got isn't for the tenergy batteries, and Im not sure the tenergy batteries are protected.

FWIW...

The LifePo4 Tenergys use "safe chemistry" construction which is considered by most to be better/safer than protected batteries that use a PCB protection board.

Ah I wish I had seen this earlier. I ordered the Tenergy RCR123A 3.0V 900mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery

So you're saying Tenergy LiFePO4 RCR123A 3.0V (3.2V) 750mAh Rechargeable Battery is safer?

Oh well...I hope potentially having my face blown off is made up for in 150mah more lol. I tried to get the highest amps for the dual coils...I wonder what the lowest possible is for the dual coils to work efficiently

Those are unprotected, you're much better off with at least protected even if you don't trade up to LifeP04s.
