I have been having button problems this whole time. The button it was shipped with just didn't work. I had ordered 2 spare buttons, and one of those works on and off. I used the Noalox and got some improvement on the button, but it is still just kinda hit or miss on that one.
I am ready to throw it across the room.... sigh

I hear your frustration. Just be patient and keep messing with it.

I also noticed an improvement in my shorty(sp2) after putting an O-ring on it. I just put it on the bottom cap & it stays there below the threading. I am using the Ultrafire 16340's.

A good test is putting it together without an atty/carto etc. Hold the SP2 vertical and then turn it upside down. Now that I have the O-ring on and have lubed it with Noalox the pin in the top will glide when I turn the PV upside down. This is without me pressing the button.

When you put the atty, or in my case the 801 Fusion carto on, it will prevent the pin from moving unless the button is pressed.

Another way to test it is to look and make sure that you can see/feel the pin move up when you press the button. I also make sure that the pin is flush with the threading something on the top cap. I currently use a combo of; 801 to 510 adapter with LR Carto's & the 801 Fustion Carto's from IkenVape.

IMO getting these to run smoothly is just a balancing game and getting to know your PV. Yes, it's frustrating...but I guess that's what you get when you essentially get 2 mods for $45 ;)

Yea Sky it took some fiddling to get it right. They are working now and I actually ordered a set for hubby...well I ordered a PINK one and gave hubby the blue one, lmao.

I didn't order the extra caps in hopes that a set might get thrown in for free (wishful thinking it turns out) but so far the caps I got with the second order are fine. I have not even put Noalox on yet.

Did you get yours going??

I'm happy to hear you got everything working well cricket.

James sent me a different one and it works better than the original blue one. I am now wondering if by some chance there was something wrong with the ones that were painted blue.

I will still have to order caps for the thermo and am really hoping they work well.

I got mine Thurdsay. I think Im missing a few parts. I only received two tubes, batteries, chargers, atty and cartridge. No button thing, no spring, no washer, no connector. Just..tubes, batteries, charger and juice and atty/cart. Send an email questioning what else I needed and if I had to order those parts not received or was just kinda over looked.

I hate the kit.. I gave up on it and ordered something else.. It totally was the worst experience ever.. It got to the point I would have to hold it to my ear to see if the atty engaged or not.. Having to press it down harder than anything (reminded me of using a bad lighter, fingers get sore).. I did the button trick, disassemble.. I tried every way of putting it together.. It might work good for 5 mins, then put it down, pick it up.. nothing.. Totally dissapointed.

I ordered new end caps and buttons. same issues.. It's so bad, I won't even put it in the classifieds. I'd hate to have someone go through what I did even if it was free.

Offer it up as a PIF for a modder. :) Just because you hate it doesn't mean someone else might not love it.
