Nothing to do with frying the touch sensor really, just the polarity problem which will be sorted on the next run. I can really see the use for the kicklet on an 18350 device as that form factor has not been able to use the kick previously.

Looking forward to trying one out David.
I remember markbugs mentioning something about the touch switch not being able to handle it or something along those lines and that may be why it was mentioned.

I gotta find a second job I tell ya, Looking forward to seeing pics and vids from everyone that is getting a kiklet.

I'd go with the IMR 26650 i sell over the trustfire.

I would really prefer to buy batteries from super-t because it is kind of intuitive that a manufacturer of the mod would know best what battery brand goes best with their products. However, I would really be interested if someone has done tests (or intends to do them) with various brands of 26650 batteries. I would like to see the Trustfire and the IMR 26650 available from super-t website and also the MNKE IMR 26650 which can be seen at the following links:

Genuine MNKE IMR 26650 3500mAh 3.7v
3.8v MNKE IMR 26650 battery

Not really sure whether these are genuine products and, even if they are, whether they can compete with the ones offered by super-t. Nevertheless, it is always best to consider as many options as possible, so I would like to hear others` opinions on this.

Im sure that the ones from the link above are real... I do have one... Yes I do try to buy my batteries only from SuperT , but this vendor has a good reputation also. I thought I would try a MNKE battery since some people on the forum swear by them....
Since SuperT doesnt carry the MNKE I wonder if it was just hype?

I tested a mnke about a year ago, it came in at that time at 3300mAh with a 2.5 load. Haven't tested the "new" ones on the market. I would bet most all 26650's being sold now are all using the same cells, just a guess. My blue ones also tested around 3300mAh with a 2.5 amp.

I figgured the MNKE was all hype....

David, I can't get mods to fire with the Kiklet, can you help me trouble shoot it? Tried different batts, different mods, two different kicks, etc...everything works without the Kicklet.

Does the wire at the side of the Kick sit tightly against the wall of the Kiklet? The problem is either in the connection of the Kick and the Kiklet, or the Kiklet and the mod or carto/atty. If it does sit tightly, then look at the connector pins of all of these and see what you get.

Oh my gosh, I was working myself up to a full blown panic attack. I think it's working now. Make sure you put Noalox on all contacts, (+/- on Kick, contact on top cap inside, sand the place where it contacts the Kiklet on the inside and then apply Noalox. Noalox! It's really finicky. Follow all instructions to a "T". LOL Screw down all contacts finger tight. It really looks cool though.

New names (I don't like Kiklet, do they sell them on the beach in Central America too?) :p

The Ki(c)ker
The Booster
Stage 3 of the Shockwave (Stage 1 and 2 being contained within the shockwave) Or Stage 2
The Command Module (think Apollo rockets)
The Orbiter
The Payload
The Satellite
The Kikpad
The Kikhouse
The Kik Mod(ule)
The T-Kik
The Kik-T

Yes, follow the instructions closely (i'll try to get up a video tomorrow too of prepping and installing your Kick into the Kiklet.

The Kick by Evolv connections are brass and oxidize quickly, making the Kick very vunerable to not firing if they are dirty. Clean the areas outlined in the Instructions and noalox thoroughly. Once you establish good connections, you'll be good to go as the Kick just stays put.

Warning! Your Kiklets connections are Rhodium Plated, DONT sand those!!!

I live an hour away from David, so mine only took 1 day after it mailed yesterday so I'm probably one of the first to get it.

Here are the instructions, they are important! I followed them and yet I had to follow them twice more paying attention to the word "Liberally":

1)Upon receiving your Kick, remove top cap and verify that the spring is seated inside the spring cup at the bottom of the Kiklet enclosure. See Picture Below. (shows spring seated inside)

2)Remove top cap of Kiklet. Using provided sandpaper (400 grit), sand inside of Kiklet where the side ground spring of the Kick will make contact, which is just below the threads on the inside of the Tube. Liberally apply provided Noalox (small bag of Noalox provided) to sanded area. (this was tough, hard to sand in such a small enclosed area)

3)Thoroughly sand top and bottom of the Kick's brass contacts with provided sand paper. Liberally apply provided Noalox to top and bottom contacts of your Kick.

4)Insert Kick into the Kiklet just as you would into a unit with the blue colored adjustable pot facing up so that you may adjust the wattage.

5) Replace cap. Screw onto device being careful not to over tighten.

Caution: Do NOT sand the top and bottom contacts of the Kiklet itself, they are rhodium plated. Only sand the Kick contacts themseves.

Always verify that the spring is seated in the spring cup at the bottom of the Kiklet enclosure.

MY NOTES: It is difficult getting a Kick in and out. Naturally, since it has to be a snug fit. DO NOT PULL on brass contact...it can and will come off and be a ..... to find on your floor. Instead, if you must do something other than finger pulling or sliding it out, use a needle nose and VERY VERY gently work it out using the blue pot to grab onto and turn it circularly until you can VERY GENTLY pull it out. Leave it in whenever possible to save wear and tear.

Man this looks so nice it makes me more impatient for the Shockwave! It's gonna be so cool in polished! Do not worry, it's not mirror polish, it's more like what is often described as a "brushed" finish and so not easy to scratch. Still hoping for November...ATL.

BTW, with Kick installed it weighs almost 1.5 ounces.
