I get pulled for going too slow while vaping.

I get so relaxed and in such a great mood I figure 'why hurry, the sky is soooo blue today', 'just look at those wonderful puffy clouds', 'look at the cute little possum trying to cross the road'.... 'neato, there are blue flashing lights behind me'. "Hello officer, what a wonderful day, huh?".
"Ticket? Cool, thank you." lol

When I first joined ECF I was surprised by the amount of new member single posts asking about some malady or concern "related" to vaping.

Many people have the same concerns when eating a new diet, using a new personal care product, applying a new hair conditioner, or putting a new lotion on their newborn.

I guess I don't understand the rather extreme "defensiveness" about these things by the vaping community.

Anything that comes into contact with your body, whether externally or internally, has a possibility of creating an unexpected outcome. To deny this is just silly and not very science-based.

IF you have never INHALED pg, vg, or food flavorings into your lungs, but have only injested them, or applied them externally, then you are dealing with a new-to-you-individual event.

My neighbor's kid has just been put into ICU because they used an over-the-counter black soap that seems very popular in the organic community. For this child it has been life threatening. At the very least, he will be looking at some skin grafts. :(

We were just having a little fun. We're certainly not trying to offend you or anyone else .

Im not defensive at all. It was just an observation. No need for you to get defensive ;)
I belong to other forums for other interests I have. They dont really have drive by single posters and if they do its a weird kinda troll thing or spam thats being tried on. Most posters on other forums at least stick around until the question is answered and interact with other posters during the duration of the thread and then either stick around as part of the furniture or thank everyone and then vanish.
When I came here it was just like I said, surprising that there were so many new members with only one or two posts posting about negative side affects since vaping but not always responding to any of the posts that followed. Just seemed like pretty weird behaviour.
Sorry to hear about your neighbours kid.

I wouldn't call this extreme defensiveness, but in all fairness diets and hair care/personal hygiene products and the like aren't under constant attack by BIG money special interest groups with an ally like the FDA. SO....when there is a "hit and run" new poster, it does come across as suspicious....quite suspicious indeed :glare:

I kinda welcome this kind of fun lighthearted thread with all the bad "deeming" and "TRUTH" threads that have been posted. It's all in good fun ;)

Hi guys, I started vaping about 7 years ago and I got ticketed for 85 in a 70 over the weekend. Have you guys experienced this? The guy at the vape shop near my house never told me vaping would cause me to get speeding tickets. I think I might be safer by going back to cigarettes.

.....sorry. With all the " (insert malady here) due to vaping..." threads we see these days, I kinda felt left out. :D

If your car can still exceed the speed limit, you must not be bringing enough backups. You know you have enough when you have to re-route to avoid steep inclines from fear of the vehicle not being able to make it to the top.

I'm not trying to pile on, here....but I'm fairly confident that vaping is why I seem to have a nail in my tire. Never ran over a nail as a smoker. It sucks because I really enjoy vaping and I love all the flavors.....but I can't just keep buying tires!

I think a firmly worded email to the mod manufacturer with threats of legal action may be in order here.

Preciate the reminder…prove all things!

Good luck. :)

p.s. Esp. considering how many things we buy sight unseen from far flung places.

I didn’t have grandkids until I started vaping, now 3...

Could it be?

@Racehorse , I agree with your sentiment and am sorry to hear about your neighbors kid, hoping for the best in their case. It is funny, however, that people are quick to blame vaping and not (in my case) 27+ years of smoking beforehand.

Those grandkids though...
