The FT version looks very similar to the disastrous Hcigar version....it even has the weird writing at the base. However, it looks like they addressed a lot of the problems with the HCigar version and just by looking at the pictures I think it will probably work great. You probably have to drill out the deck and the 510 connector but that takes about a couple minutes to do and most people would do that to the original Squape.

as I told here before - the clones do not have an ematal coating. That's why you get shorts! and to be honest - you deserve that! there is a reason why the original squape has an ematal coating. if you buy cheap, you buy twice

The copies are 'hard anodized' which is an easier process the ematal anodizing, just as durable if it's done properly.
Hard anodized aluminum can be as strong as tool steel, it's food safe too.

Looks like Fasttech are selling the Winsmoke version by the way, listed today;

FT has 2 versions now, a plastic tank version and a glass tank version. the glass version is the one in question ;)
You beat me to editing my post! Was just gonna replace it with "ignore the idiot who's not paying attention...."

Anyway - I'm ordering as well. I think worse case scenario is it's the Tobeco - right? Which would be fine with me...that's the one I have and love.

The very top of the tank tells the tale! The top half right above the line is a good bit shorter than any other clone and the OG included. One of the main differences I noticed while comparing a bunch of Squape clones. As the rest are pretty much a 1:1 of the original. Almost 100% positive this is Winsmoke and Fasttech screwed up on one of the pictures....lol

nelsonm64,

I'm 99% certain that it's the Winsmoke version - just a different anodizing color, everything else is the same.
The Tobecos have had a few different colored decks too - maybe this color is harder wearing or something.

For the piddling amount it cost I jumped on the thing from a height.
i'm 98% certain ;) however, I tend to think it is a winsmok...
