I could imagine it being a bit of a pain to build, but I'd love to see more pictures of how you did it/a how-to, so to say :)
Good job!

It didn't work out too great and I went back to a standard coil. Next time I attempt it, I'll take more pictures and post a how to. For now though, I'll try and explain.

Created a coil with diameter as close to the size of the deck hole, but just a little smaller to leave room on the outside for some cotton. After mounting and test firing the coil, removed the deck screws and the coil to wrap a very thin piece of cotton around the coil (1 layer). Then I took 2 very thin pieces of cotton and ran them along both sides of the coil. Mounted the coil back. Gently pushed the cotton down around the coil and added some more cotton along the channels. I think it was a 6 wrap 26 gauge or 28 gauge coming out at about 1 ohm. Performance was not bad, but not better than a standard coil.

The reason I attempted it is because the Atlantis inspired me to try and get the same performance from the squape r. And I wanted more airflow as the standard build seemed a little restrictive. When I went back to the standard build, I just raised it a little more and got the desired airflow.

I have a vertical in one of my Roses and the flavor is amazing. It also does open the airflow. The SqR design doesn't really lend itself to that build, I don't think, but I would like to hear about it if someone does a build they like.

Agreed :toast:

Here is my bouquet of roses: (Both made by Pallas from FocalEcig USA Warehouse)

Both work flawlessly for a long time with great flavor and vapor production.

2. Kanthal Rose V2 for Mech:

Just thought I would chime in here with my experience. I have had both the kingtu and ehpro versions of this. I am using ni200 coils and a bap dna40, the kingtu has given me nothing but problems whereas the ehpro has been nothing but consistent readings and use on the dna40. The ehpro's only downfall is the loose airflow ring but that isn't much or a problem after you tighten it down on the device. Ehpro is the one to get guys. YMMV

I built a vertical coil in my rose a few weeks ago. I found the flavor to be terribly muted... everyone else says the flavor is better. wonder what I did or didn't do. i'm not a noob to building so i'm at a loss :(

Did you see my pics on the wicking? They are in the FC thread.

The bottom of the coil is ON the ceramic deck. I took some thin amount of Rayon and went around the coil several times while gently tucking it in with blunt needle. I had to pull my Rayon under the upper coil lead to complete full circle around the coil. Like tying your shoes.

For me the tank didn't leak and is pretty well constructed. I had ohm jumping on a regular basis although I didn't try to modify the center post insulation. .2 to .4 ohms and I'd remove the tank and futz with the post and back on. Just didn't seem right. It could be that it's corrected now and then I'd call it a nice clone so see what you think. In any event, I think MST is solid and Bob will likely be stand up on any potential issues. I'd actually like to hear your experience with it if you please?
