What's the best squape r clone? I know I know. It varies. :) im not impressed thus far with my kanger subtank and have always liked the squape series. Just can't justify spending 170 for an authentic.
I would say Ehpro or Wotofo. I am sure others will chime in. I was thinking about getting a kanger subtank. Can you provide more info, flavor, vapor, pre made coils ???

Jbarrick. Sent you a pm

Mine is the Ivogo (white box with "18+" on the upper right corner) and I absolutely love it - it's one of my favorite daily carries now, but it took A LOT of work to get it there. So maybe stay away from that one - that was waaay too much trouble to go through - definitely not ready to go out of the box.

Things to watch out for:
The deck screws - make sure the heads are small enough to clear the lip on the chimney. The original screws on the Ivogo had big heads that gouged the nonconductive coating on my chimney, and you can't buy these screws without having to grind down the heads yourself.
The positive post - Ivogo's didn't really have good insulation on that (just a teeny tiny o-ring), so it would wobble like crazy. I used a KFL 510 insulator, which incidentally is a new item at Fasttech - maybe not a bad thing to stock up on - they come in handy.
The top threads on the chimney - mine didn't have anything there to properly seal them for vacuum. I wrapped them with teflon tape. If the tank is emptying on you, it could be a vacuum leak from there.
The tank insert - test it for leaks with water first (it'll sweat out of the triangle windows). Sometimes they left out one of the o-rings at the factory, sometimes they just didn't push the insert in far enough, so try pushing it in first, and wiggling it around to make sure the o-rings are seated right, before you drive yourself nuts trying to put the o-rings in.

There were a bunch of other things I had to fix, but these were the big ones for me. I love my SqR, but if I were on the fence between this and an Aqua V2, I think the Aqua V2 is more everybody's favorite right now...

I just received my EHPro Squape from madvapes and I'm happy so far. I purchased two one for myself and one for my wife. The build quality is very nice except the air control ring which are very floppy on both units. Other than that they vape like champs 1.0 ohm .26 kanthal and .08 ohm .26 kanthal both with organic cotton wicks on the wide deck. Thanks for all the input here it really helped with my decision.

I noticed the same thing with my ehpro's air ring. It seems that the little groove on the inside, to allow for easy movement of the ball bearing-springy retainer mechanism, has been extended to the full circumference of the ehpro rather then just through the indents on the original. It also lets air get sucked through all of the holes of the ring.

Oh, it is still the best clone of the ones I have tried.

I have been having problems with my Wotofo SQr as of late. First leaking out of ACR, stopped that. But now burnt taste, not a dry hit, just burnt taste. Try cotton, rayon and Japanese cotton @1.2ohm 12.5 watts on W deck. I have been rocking with the SQr great for a while and now I am ready to put it to bed with Chucky to see what we come up with.

I think i will rewick with longer tails and see what happens.

Any last ideas?

It's been a minute since I've been in this thread. I think my Ivogo troubleshooting was like 70 pages ago. The Ivogo is long since history - I don't miss its fiddly nature but I do kind of miss the vape, ease of build, and easy filling.

Is EHPro still the go to clone? If so, anywhere that sells it with the W deck?

I do like my Kingtu clone, and the base and tank fit my authentic, BUT the chimney hits the deck screwing on or unscrewing the tank. The deck is getting marked up and its just a matter of time until the deck and chimney are ruined :( I'm going to pick up the EHPro as well. I wonder if Chucky's afc ring or the Kingtu's would fit it? Anyone try changing it?

Sorry Roxy I sold my Ehpro and can not remember if I try it.

The mind is the first thing to go.

I wick it with rayon REALLY TIGHT, tighter than on my other atties. Whenever I get any kind of burnt taste, it's because the wick was too loose. Longer tails doesn't do it for me. For some reason, this particular atty just seems to be more sensitive to coil burn than all my other atties.

Also, after you tighten the tank on, back it off a bit and you'll notice about a quarter-turn's worth turning freely. I use that as my juice flow control. If you need to get more liquid on your wick quickly, try turning it back and forth a few times - it's like pumping liquid in.

I did a lot of fiddling with my Ivogo too, and it's so worth it. I really love it now - it's always one of my daily carries, and not one problem after all the stupid little fixes I had to do to it.

Best thing to do is to try to find replacement screws with smaller-circumference heads that will clear that lip on the chimney. Somebody sent me some from a different atty (I have no idea where she got it from) that took care of that. Or you can try grinding down some M3 cheese heads. That was one of the main problems I had with my Ivogo (aka Chucky  ). Ended up needing a new chimney. I could still use the damaged chimney, but the raw aluminum freaked me out a little bit.

Also, I didn't put an o-ring at the chimney threads. I wrapped teflon tape around the threads instead, to not screw up any tolerances between the chimney and the deck.

Its not the screws, unfortunately. The tolerances are just off a tad. I think the chimney threads are very slightly crooked. Its so minute, I can't tell by looking at it, but its enough for it to hit the deck in the same spot on both sides. I couldn't even feel the rub the first couple of weeks. Now I can because I'm alert to it. But once its down to raw aluminum, I'm not going to vape it anymore just to be safe. My mind wanders these days as it is

I haven't had to o ring or teflon tape the chimneys on any of my 3, lucky me.

Ack, then maybe just try not tightening it all the way, just to be safe. I do that out of habit now (I like the added juice flow) and it never leaks or floods.

Interestingly, both my clones wick faster than the authentic

I actually considered buying the authentic nano kit or anodized tank so I would get an authentic chimney and tank to use on it, but cant afford them right now. Its hard to say if its the chimney threads or the tank threads that are just a hair crooked where the chimney threads in.
