OK, so the Rose... is the Rose a version 1 or 2, or is there even versions of it? I might order my LEMO tomorrow just got to make sure I pay my bills first, I got another box mod when my clicky finger accidentally twitched while surfing the nets.

The Rose is v2. I don't know if there ever was a clone of v1. I've never seen one. Watch a build video first to decide if you want it . Its tricky. Sometimes I nail it on the first try and sometimes it takes me 10 to get the coil in. Same with wicking. Sometimes I'm done in 3 minutes and other times, well, I have trouble getting it started. I have the single diagonal coil on one Rose, and dual on the other.

So I just checked on Focal and I see my parts for my demonizer (AKA the Squape R) have been shipped, woohoo ! Only problem is I have a strange tracking number that is all digits and no letters which is not recognized by 17track. Has anyone else experienced this?

I also see they now have a no logo version available, I wonder if that is a more reliable version?

My stainless M3x16mm flathead machine screws will be in my hands by 9AM tomorrow. I have an assortment of o-rings and insulators on hand. Will post results.

Although, my double o-ringed 510 pin SqR has been flawless for over 24 hours, lol.

Guess I won't be seeing my machine screws today. Vendor completely fubar'd my shipping address so the package is in USPS limbo somewhere in town... just not sure where.

I was watching the tracking and noticed the latest status was "return to sender, addressee unknown"... and the scan was from the post office a block from my office. So, I walked down there and grabbed the package. Going to mess with it right now.

Okay... here's the result.

As you can see, the head on the machine screw is much larger than then head on the 510 pin which I actually think is a good thing - more contact surface for the connection. It's only a hair longer so I'm not sure it's actually threading into the base much farther than the factory pin. I used an insulator from an old BVC head I had in my desk drawer. Granted, it's only been a few minutes but it works and firing about two dozen times resulted in a rock solid .8ohm. Seems to hit harder as well but that may be my imagination. Dunno... vapes like a wild beast now.

I couldn't use the SqR on my IPV2 (fixed 510) with the supplied pin. Works like a champ with the machine screw. There is some gap but I'm not a stickler for that kind of thing. I could probably reduce the gap if I torqued the machine screw into the atty a bit more but I don't want to push the insulator into the connector.

Only time will tell if I've excorsized the demons. I won't be convinced until it runs without issue for at least a week. But, at the risk of jinxing myself, I feel pretty good about it.

The nice thing about that insulator is it keeps the screw head from touching the bottom of the 510. I was trying to think of the right size o ring for that. Or cut a thin lip on the peek rod.

Well, a lot of people like their ZNA clone. So if they do a good job cloning a mod, it might be a decent atty

My number is the same way. I don't think it is trackable. It'll just be a surprise when it arrives.

Yeah heard good things about their zna so thought it might be worth a shot. From what I can see the EHpro one is probably the one to get but only seems to be available in the USA.

I'm ready to throw in the towel on the 2nd Squape R that I got from FT. First one is still doing OK, but the 2nd one is a nightmare.

I've redone the 510 pin the same way as the 1st one, but I'm lucky to vape on it for an hour & the resistance starts climbing up. I've re-set the 510 pin many times, tried different gaskets/grommets & still having problems. Will try a few more things & if I can't get it to stabilize, I'm going to send it back to FT.

Can't understand because I have 2 supposedly identical units...one works after modifying, the other doesn't. The serial # on the working one is 2559. The "nightmare" one is #2564.

Hate to say it but the vape on these units isn't THAT great for all the headaches they cause. My Taifun GT's have just as good a vape & no problems at all. I have 7 of them (one original, but can't tell it apart from FT A or B clone).

I'm also worried that the "good" one will start acting up. I've only had the good one 7 days. Maybe I'm better off sending them both back to FT for a credit.

My SqR has certainly been more problematic than some. That first 50 batch seem to be the best ones. Mine was made during the mad rush, and it shows.

Well one of my o-rings popped and now my elekar clone from gvapers won't fire. Are any of the repair kits actually working for any of you or do I need to be looking for a replacement 510 screw?

Tonight I got home and decided to try the second Squape. All the o-rings made it to the house but I wanted to keep it simple. Everything got a good bath.

I used the tank supplied O-rings and put a 1.2 X 2.5 in the pin and tightened it down. Real tight fit but everything looked good. Now I really got stupid and built 0.2 ohm coil out of NI200 and dropped it on the DNA 40 temp set to 400 degree's. Here comes the jinx, it's working great. I loaded Nicoticket Raz Cup and it really is vaping nirvana.

Fingers crossed, I'm going to try the same thing on #1 tomorrow.

The oringstore.com has damn near every o-ring under the sun but ships a little slow.

Roxy, I am going to send you a couple 1mm X 20mm once I get them because the 19mm are a PITA.

I don't have one but i hear the kayfun insulators work nicely to fix the problem. Can anyone confirm this? I might buy one if it works.

Now that looks very promising! If it doesn't block the air hole it may be perfect.
