EHPRO TIGHT AIRFLOW?

Thinking about getting the ehpro but saw this regarding poor airflow. I don't know if it's a one off but the reviewer says it has about half the airflow of the authentic and only slightly more than a kayfun with the clone. Seems odd given their is a 3mm hole in the base and in the deck. I can only think there must be some machining error or blockage somewhere in the base to be causing that unless the build is just poor.

That is not a kayfun pin it's just the kayfun insulator on a Squape pin. I did not try this myself as I don't have a Squape yet. Just been researching and found this fix. The person did mention something about a little filing on the insulator, I'm not sure where, but it sounds easy.

You could buy them here. Kayfun Lite Replacement Center Post Insulators & O-Rings | Lightning Vapes

I understand that. But the pin on the Ivogo is too short as well. So at one point I was looking at other pins as well that you can buy separately like kayfun and russian pins.

I did look into that. The KFL pin is too long (21mm). Same threading, nice hole for airflow that lines up, but if you whack it down to size, you lose the threads.

I just impulse bought the kingtu variant. Any quality issues with this one? Its supposed to have the glass held in with o-rings.

If you look on the group buy on AAEC you'll see. First they had the glued glass leaking issues. They just got replacements but now the threading is wrong on the replacements so leaves a gap. 3rd time lucky?

I have been following this thread for some time now, after I ordered one from FT. (22mm, SS + Glass Tank (2*Spare Decks) SKU 1899301, it is no longer on their web site.) Received it today and knew what to look for, or I thought I did. 510 pin is so long it will not screw into any mod and it is as far in it will go. Took it to bits and it will not go in any farther 2 to 2 1/2mm sticking out of the post. I think this is a new issue from everyone else.

Filled the tank up with water and after a short time it was leaking, so what else is new. Back to China with the glass tank version of Chucky.

Yeah, we all have pins that are too short. Ok then, its official, the cloners of China don't know how long the pin should be. Several of us felt 16mm was just right.

Boy, talk about over-compensating!

On mine, I thought I had gotten one without the o-rings in place for the insert, but they just didn't push it all the way in. So if anybody's is leaking from the cutouts, try pushing it in before you start cussing out the o-rings (which I did for about an hour. I kept trying to put one in, but there already was one.)

I really think they left parts out when they made these things. I couldn't keep it from leaking without an o-ring that I stole from a KF top cap on the chimney. And the whole positive pin thing is stupid. Even if they had provided the right sized pin, how's it gonna be adjustable without an insulator in there? I'm really bummed that I have to keep waiting for parts or sourcing new ones, to even just get this thing set up.

The State of Confusion
Kingtu makes a SR clone that comes with all three decks, 2 airflow rings, etc.

I have seen it, but I haven't heard anything about it?

Looks nice....

$50.00 to $60.00 beats the $189.00 for the genuine you can't find anywhere.....

I have read many of the posts here and my biggest beef with authentic vs. clone is availability.

I mean I see the point of not using the logos, but hey, some of the best clones are 1:1 now and use the logos, so you have no choice in some instances.

Not to mention some 'authentics' " are made in China, like the Russian', and the Russian 91%!

Then add insult to injury, some of the other authentics are not made in the U.S. or Europe, they're made in the Philippines, and other places!

The "Onslaught" is a perfect example; $135.00 for the original made in the Philippines.
Clones; $17.50 - $60.00 and you couldn't tell the difference if your life depended on it (yes I have compared them side by side).

I try to buy authentic, but it has gotten to be such a PITA getting some of the authentics that I don't mind buying a quality clone....

I mean try to find a Kayfun v 3.1 good luck!
(Plenty of good clones out there though)..

Now my mods are all authentic...but then again the mods are much more readily available!

IMHO :vapor:

ITTechy we'll find out soon, I have one on the way.

Roxy, I'm beginning to think your right, the Bride of Chucky went nuts last night. The more I play with it I think it has to do with what they substituted for the emetal coating, the over spray on other parts and the lack of a real 510 pin insulator. Last night I would get a good ohm reading until I put the tank on the deck. Friggin clones are possessed by Satan
