Unless I'm just not seeing it, Focalecig has yanked the logoless SqR clone they posted a couple of days ago.
I received a kingtu clone today and only one of the three decks will fit in the base, fortunately its the W, also the post screws are too small and there are burrs all over the decks.
Mine was in really tight and would not budge. Tried to force it with too much pressure and it cracked. I tried following the directions you linked, but didn't help in my case.
That's OK, cuz I'm never buying another one. Once was enough!

I was very lucky to find an original Squape R in the classified last month when I was looking for one. Otherwise, I would have bought a clone and be in the same boat as many of you frustrated buyers. My original worked flawlessly right out of the box, so I was surprised that so many were having problems with their clones. I contacted the manufacturer Kingtu and arranged to have a sample sent. Including DHL shipping, I paid $56 for the sample SquapeR.
As I posted previously in this thread, my clone had numerous issues but I managed to get it working. It still has a little too much throat hit but that's probably because I haven't found the right build for my taste. I think the main reason this clone is so problematic is that the Chinese clone makers don't know what "quality control" means. Because I'm Chinese, I understand that they don't understand. Sounds crazy but you need to explain everything to them. This is the last part of an email I recently sent to Kingtu:

All these problems as well as the problem you had with glued plastic tank inserts leaking (I read about this in forums) should not happen if you have proper quality control. In other words, before you send out, just take several Squapes and build them and use them to make sure all parts fit and are working properly. Obviously Kingtu did not do this simple check. Do you think EH Pro or HCigar would make this mistake? Of course not. That's why they are making all the money and new companies like yours are struggling to build a reputation for reliablility and quality.

but to tell you the truth, not technology problem for us
as you see, we failed in some details
the problem you write in the emails ,we have found them and updated
the leaking problem, the screws problem ,the scratchs problem,the deck stuck problem
to be a reliable and qualified company , the details is very importand
after dealing with the problem , our Squape reloaded is the best in the market

So... What you DONT want to do is cut your wicks half way between the end of the coil and the edge of the deck on the KingTut. /LOL So much for experimenting. At least I know my xpv 40 is nearly water proof as almost all the huge amount of juice that leaked out stayed around the 510 connection. Only a small amount dribbled down the side. That's a good thing!

@SeniorBoy: I build my coil so it's only slightly in the hole, most of it is sitting above, then plenty of cotton cut off right at the edges of the deck and most of the wick tugged in the horisontal channels, that keeps it leakfree 99% of the time (nothing's perfect, when made by humans ).
My FT black box version (Coppervape maybe?) arrived today, but of course I was out when the mailman was here, no won't be able to get it until later today or maybe even Monday. The Coppervape I already have, is great though.
And got an original coming, which I got for a pretty good price from a guy on a Danish forum

Thank you. I will try your technique on my next build. My KingTut has a leak out of the air hole. NOT from quick draws. I let it sit overnight and the base was filled with juice leak city. I had previously thoroughly cleaned it so if anyone has any ideas don't be bashful. Man this thing consumes juice even faster than my KFs. For me, the vape is spot on with my KFs. Not sure what else I need to try.
Could be too little cotton, or it not being stuffed enough in the channels (not compressed, but just so that juice won't flow underneath the wick) or wick being too short, allowing juice to pass around it in the vertical channels. Or coil sitting too low. I made pretty much all those mistakes when I first got it, then a friend recommended more cotton and higher sitting coil and it's been heaven ever since.
A local hobby shop or vape shop might have them. I got mine from McMaster Carr, standard 2x.4mm, they come in various lengths I got the 4mm 90116A008.

Too late! tried that a couple days ago lol. All I can get is 12W without TP kicking in much like a KF if you can get more please share.
Cut the wick so its a hair past the edge of the deck. A little needs to be in the side juice channels. Just a little or it will dry hit.
All systems are GO so far.
Much thanks again. Kanthal coil sitting higher did the trick. Flavor monster using Organic cotton (Bio Wick) trimmed to the edge of the deck after saturated with just a little sliver of wick in the juice channel. Could be my imagination or the way I like my hit but the intensity of the flavor is even better than it was before.Much thanks. I had to scavenge some post screws from my Igo to start my journey but will order.
LOL TRUST ME! You will hear from me. Ni is next on my hit parade but I wanted a "baseline" before I started the really tricky stuff. Like you, I love the ability/convenience to build on this SR and that was the major reason I wanted one. Hell, I would have purchased an authentic if I could.
Just picked up my Slowtech clone, looks pretty good, doubt it's a Coppervape though. AFC seems a bit looser and the o-rings holding the glass are white (they're black on the Coppervape I have, at least).
Tore it apart and it's in the ultrasonic cleaner now.
Gonna build it in a little while and see how she fares. Seems a bit dull though, as the original is on its way now

Thanks folks for the advice and information in response to my questions. Kingtu isn't perfect, but I'm learning and it's workable. Being able to easily adjust the airflow adds to the different NET juices that I vape and is cool. I'm not going to mess with the glass until necessary and the 45 degree angle helps the filling dramatically. Still seems like it ought to be easier though. Rewicking after one full tank which isn't surprising with NETs.
@PM350ZMO: Looks pretty good to me. I'd set the coil higher, but if it works for you and doesn't leak or dryhit, that's great
Just got done fixing and building my Slowtech clone, running pretty damn good at 10 watts (not into über-high-wattage). I had to replace the o-ring on the positive screw with an insulator from a Vivi Nova, in order to get it working properly, but other than that, pretty pain-free
(using a short driptip, since the tank itself is pretty damn big )
