SS Vamo display fading and bad spring

Well today my display started going out.

Also have the hot bottom cap spring issue that was never addressed from the vendor.
They said they would send a new spring....but never got anything.

Have a new ticket opened to see what can be done. Its only been around two weeks of having this thing....
Black chrome one still running strong...

I have seen the week display issue when the battery didn't have good contact. I would suspect the spring or seating of the battery first from my experience. I even noticed when I saw this "screen fade" effect that I could tap the display and it would come back but what I was actually doing by tapping was shaking the battery just a bit and causing the contact to get better/worse.

In my case, I took the cap off, reseated the spring and cleaned the battery contacts. No problems since.
