IMO, it is the best carto I have used. Not the best device, the Pheonix XL BC holds that distinction in my book. But if you like cartos, and do not mind pitching them when they become gunked up, they are the best.

EDIT. They just moved up a notch. Forget the part about pitching when gunked.

I am pleased to report that I have successfully cleaned and DRY BURNED a stallion.

I have them in 2 of my tanks and they are producing as well as the first day...but I have only been using them for 11 full days so far...better then boge's...no dry hits and no leaks. If they hold up I'll consider them a real winner. However, I hope Bad will consider the stainless ones...I'm sick of stripping these. Also, that flat cap that comes with it vapes to hot for me; I'm hoping that the Mfg will do something about the filler...I don't like the idea of pushing it down in order to get the drip tip on...

I thought the filler on these was just in the top of the carto... guess I'll have to cut this 1st one up when it starts to go to see what's in it. I can see the coil about 1/2 inch down (horizontal, suspended)...

Was happy enough with the Stallions (Empty) as they were - then i stripped one, punched a couple of holes and my opinion improved an ickle.

Then Saturday, following advice from the Stallion thread, i dug out my 'Rotary Tool' and sliced a couple of big slots on either side at the bottom - and WoW - the Stallion Kicked in Big Time!

With a couple of slots in a Big Daddy Tank - these are probably the best carto i've tried for Flavour, Vapour Production and looking good for Durability too - excellent Value for money! :smokie:

Question on slotting, do you guys have an issue of melting or stripping away the fuller inside when you slot? What about metal in the filler? I slotted one, and used to slot cartos but sometimes seemed like mine wouldnt feed cause the filler was melted from my dremel...

Well the issues you rightfully cite are exactly why I have punched them for 4, going on 5, weeks. I did slot 2 of them at first but I experienced an "off" taste(metallic ?) and a tendency to flood the coil, especially if the unit assembly(tank with slotted Stalloion inside and its battery unit) was laid on its side. I eventually discarded those 2 slotted Stallions as not worth the effort to "fix" further. Considered glueing the slot partially shut but wouldn't know what glue would be safe, that notwithstanding, the strange taste would still not be favorably mitigated let alone the possible toxicity of the glue.

For the above stated reasons I returned exclusively to punching the Stallions, usually 2 holes, and find they feed adequately in reference to TH, vape and flavor. I use a carto punch by V2 Cartomizer Punch - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks and have used this punch probably 8o or so times as I started a time ago punching the Boge cartos before these Stallions came along. The point on this tool still seems plenty sharp. Should caution to not deform the casing being punched too much.

Danno, I checked the GV inventory and could find no carto punches in such. I'm not an agent nor am I advertizing for the linked vendor. Its not my intent to transgress our GV home etiquette.

If you use the dremel diamond cutoff it cuts so well there is almost no heat generated. You really have to be careful or you'll go to far. As for any minute debris...it can't be any worse than the inside of the metal tube itself. I would say 99.9% of debris is flung out with the wheel rotation. If there is any it ain't going anywhere. Sure is not going to travel through the batting.
I prefer the slots because there is no cart deformation at all compared to punching.

Partly agree on throwing the filings out but only 50%. The cutting wheel spins out, true, but it also spins in thus throwing one side of the new aperture's filings to be impelled inward to the carto's interior, what ever is in there. Old engineer's reasoning. So's I would guess it's about 50/50 on the filings issue.

As you wisely caution, care must be taken to not cut too far, just as in punching care must be taken so as to not deform the carto casing making the insertion of the carto into the bottom end cap virtually impossible if, indeed, not possible. I know about the deformation thing, I did it, dang it.

Personally, I defer to Bad's above quoted statement, also to rver's and Danno's previously stated observations. Perhaps the latter two are on the other Stallion thread.

I really like these stallions... great flavor...tons of vapor...good throat hit. There is another virtue that nobody has mentioned. I've put the stallion on a 510 battery because I still like the cigarette look even though my every day vape is the ego-T, type B. Normally, the 510 will last me 1 1/2 to 2 hours with my vape style. Yesterday, I got 4 hours! I couldn't believe it. Is this a fluke or is anyone else getting longer life from their batteries?
