Hiya GotVapers! I recently bought an 18360 Gripper from GV along with the 510 extension. I also got some more Stallion cartos thinking they would be a perfect match for it. Having read and heeded the warnings about not over tightening the carto so as not to strip the threads I eased in my first carto and pressed the button. No fire! So I ease it in a bit more. No fire. So I'm thinking bad battery or bad unit. I try a fresh battery. No fire. After doing a Curley (3 Stooges) face slap and barking at the unit a couple of times, I pulled out the carto and inserted the extension with the carto on top. Giant clouds of wonderous vapor! Ahhh! So...Is there an incompatibility problem here? If so, what cartos will work without the extension? I'd sure love to know what you guys and gals have found to work. Thanks for reading. vape ON..:smokie:

PS... GotVapes Rocks!:headbang:

The forum is not really ( only sort of ) for support directly from GotVapes as much as it is somewhere you can get advice etc from fellow vapors that also shop with GV... GV does at times answer questions etc here though...

Not over tightening the carto etc is not to avoid stripping it out so much as so you won't end up pushing the post in that makes the contact... Both the PV ( aka Gripper ) and the carto ( Stallion in this case ) have a pin in the center that can be pushed back causing the exact same issue that you are asking about.

If the problem is the Gripper's post... you can use something like a small screwdriver or a dental pick to help pull the pin further up. If it is the carto that is the culprit... a small set of needle nose pliers works well... or the small screwdriver or pick. On the carto, just make certain to keep that post centered so it doesn't end up shorting out on the sides of it.

With certain PV's.... the only solution will be the extension as you have already used. Each PV and carto differs slightly so what works for one may not work for another.

PS... I don't use either the Gripper or the Stallions... so my comments are just for your info and not meant to directly answer your question but to tell you why it is happening.

Thanks. I hadn't thought of pulling out the center pin of the carto because I didn't know it could be done. May try that on an old one so if I ruin it it won't be a big loss.:thumb:
