swedishfish...i was going to post something like that asking if anyone knew of any list of places that would allow vaping...so no one in nj allows it? wow thats messed up..never knew that. I hope it eventually opends up so vaporers can vape in places...i dont see anyreason y we couldnt...its totally unharmful! :glare:

Where are many of the headquarters of the major Big Pharm companies: NJ. I don't think this is a coincidence.

I've vaped at a Starbucks in Fairfax, VA, as well as the one on the campus at which I am a grad student and was never told off. Though this might have something to do with the fact that I only go to them when one of my roommates, independently nicknamed 'dudebro' by many of my friends, decides to throw a party, take over the commons area and/or playing very loud 'music' for another reason. I'm severely hearing impaired and use a cochlear implant, so it takes a bit to drive me to starbucks lol

I believe business should be able to decide this though not government.
I agree. Even if a business is open to the public it's still private property, so they can do what they want. I don't mind that at all. I DO have a problem with government stepping in and imposing blanket bans and, in effect, telling businesses what they can and can't allow on their own property.:facepalm:

If the States started taxation on eCigs and eLiquid, then they would probably allow and encourage vaping everywhere!
But state governments are so ignorant as to what drives tax base revenues, they will continue to increase sin taxes on analogs, though it's well documented that analog smoking is decreasing annually.

And State Governments wonder why they are broke?

It's Starbucks' option to prohibit vaping on their premises. It's my option to buy from their competitors.

So. Starbucks is on my boycott list. Even if someone offers to buy me something from Starbucks, I decline and explain why. A fair number of non-smoking and non-vaping friends have now joined me in boycotting Starbucks.

I don't. I think you'll find there were some very good reasons for that and why.

would you really want to be a non vapor and go into a startbucks filled with smoke( vapor)

I see where they are coming from and it seems trashy to have a store full of people vaping away when all you want to do is buy a coffee

It isn't smoke!
Until the ANTZ started putting out all the bs about "second hand smoke" it was common to go into any place and have folks smoking. Granted that was a while ago but why should people make an assumption?
If you think it's smoke come up and say something to me so I can explain to you what I'm doing and why.
Don't assume!
I wouldn't care what others think when it is not smoking and I'm not sure why people even allude to it as such.
Up until now they haven't found anything harmful in the vapor.
I don't care if people think "it looks like smoking", it certainly doesn't smell like smoking and anyone with half a brain should be able to smell the difference. I vape around my family and that includes the kids who have been schooled by all the adults that this "is not smoking it is very different but it isn't something you will want to do as an adult".
We have gone into the details with them why it is different and isn't that a parents job?
You can do with your kids as you wish but I don't believe "vaping leads to smoking".
Although smoking certainly can lead to vaping if your lucky!
I vape everywhere openly including the hospitals and have yet to have anyone complain or ask me to stop in over a year of vaping.

There was a big long thread on the subject a month or two ago. I believe it's all of them. Many of us refuse to support an establishment that has a "blanket" policy against vaping. Plus their coffee is WAY over priced.

I like a good dark roast but every one of their coffees taste like they burnt the beans to charcoal. Hate the place to start with so they don't get my business in the first place.

I've had decent luck vaping in my local Starbucks. I get more questions from other patrons than I do strange looks or accosting form employees. I can't wait until the day that vaping is widely socially acceptable in public :(

Based on some of the people on this forum who will only "sneak" vape in bathroom stalls and are afraid of what others think or if they get a so called "weird" look get upset, it will be a long time before that happens.

I have vaped in the local Starbucks here on the very rare occasions that they had something I wanted. I don't have a reason or a need to start a "billion dollar business" and I'm not sure why you are so damned hostile.
I just absolutely refuse as a rule to NOT patronize anyplace that has vaping bans against employees or patrons like Home Depot,Starbucks or any other business' that I come in contact with or hear about .
If we as vapers {however you think we should go about it} exercised our choices whether to spend money or not at those establishments en masse vaping bans could become passe' in my lifetime.

I'm a new vaper. My cig2o looks like a cig...I don't like that it looks like a cig when it is actually a pv. Prior to starting vaping I would not have had a prob w public vaping, since there is no stink. I havent smoked an analog since around 2004ish. I turned to vaping to get off patches, gum, and lozenges...I'm hopelessly hooked on vaping now and when I get something that doesn't look ciggy I will test the waters locally w public vaping. Honestly, I dont know of any one in my area who does VAPE. But, I still like Starbucks...
