Just got 6 of these little bad boys delivered to me from GotVapes. Holy crap! Are these things real? I took the tip out, tilted it, poured juice in it and WALLAH! The throat hit, the flavor, the vapor production and the convenience, JUST WOW! I bought them for $4.99 each. Did I get a good deal? Do these things last? Am I gonna start noticing flaws pretty soon? I'm thinking of ordering more, but wanted to know what you folks think about them. Thanks.

Yep, they're great! The newer version has longer wicks that reach from top to bottom & are supposed to help the wicking process so that they don't have to be laid flat when not in use to avoid dry hits that are somewhat common on the old version. I, of course, have a bunch of the old version, but I really don't mind too much - they're super easy to fill, they don't leak, and as long as you keep the wick wet, there are no problems with dry hits!

I do love my traditional tanks and traditional atties, but the stardust/visions are wonderfully user friendly, and perfect for those days when you don't feel like dealing with syringes or atties!

The stardusts / Ego Visions are awesome ! I have been trying many others to match or beat the ease of use and performance but they are all falling short. I fill 2 in the morning, pop em on an Ego VV and im groovin all day on the road. Why do syringes and all that jazz when you can fill, vape and go ! ( though I do drip at home at times )

I have been using the 2.4 - 2.6 ohm versions. havent tried the lower rezz versions they sell but I did rebuild one to see what lower rezz would be like. The one I did rezzed out at 2.0 ohms, Vapes like a champ and Ive been Hammering on it nonstop for 2 weeks !
Hmmmm.. mighht be time to clean this thing.

Stardust or bust !

You've got to love the Chinese! Not only did they invent the ecigarette (and thanks to them, we are all vaping today) but they are adapting and evolving with the needs of the vaping community. This Stardust is a prime example, amongst other things. We wanted fancy clear tanks in different colors, and they bring out the easiest tank ever. We want removable batteries, and they made their own 'mods', we wanted VV and we got that too.
Have you guys seen pics of the awesome NEW Stardusts yet? They now come in even more cool colors and even the tube inside is colored and with colored drip tips too. They aren't available to purchase yet, but coming soon. Can't wait.

Biggest flaw I have found so far is....DON'T fill these things with Backwoods Brew Casablanca. You will smoke yourself absolutely ......ed!

My new ones should be here Saturday!!!

Ron -

Im gonna have to try that Backwoods Brew ! Thats the 3rd time I have heard that. Its also VERY dangerous with Vape Dudes Hazelnut Coffee with Extra flavor added... 12mg.... youve been warned.

Here is a couple links to the latest versions I know of. The smokTeks are the LR versions with longer wicks and are $ 1.50 more ea. But thats well worth it in my book.

( think I'll put my order in right now before posting this and it gets even more popular and they wind up on backorder like the other ones at DV)

Vision eGo CE4+ Clearomizer DV Edition

Vision eGo Transparent Clearomizer V2 for 510/eGo, 1.8-2.0 ohm

You can make that four times. Once I put Casablanca in a Stardust, my entire supply disappeared almost immediately. Same thing happened with my Boba's Bounty. I have also got a bunch of flavors that I thought were "meh" previously, that suddenly became "wow" when I put them in a Stardust.

My experience is that the longer wicks in the V2s are an improvement over the V1s, but they don't completely eliminate the dry hit problem. You still have to tip them occasionally, they should be stored horizontally and you can't chain vape them vertically without tipping occasionally. I can live with that.

I also prefer the standard resistance (2.5-2.9 ohm) version to the medium resistance (2.4-2.6 ohm) version or the low resistance (1.8-2.0 ohm) version. The low resistance version in particular can overcook some flavors at 3.7 volts or above in my opinion. If you have variable voltage, I would recommend dialing it down initially with those LR versions until you find what's best for you.

I still think that these are the best tank systems to ever hit the market, on balance even better than the Vision Stone 3 or Vision Vivi Nova tanks.

I got a 4 pack of the V1 Stardusts about a month ago and I was using three of them in rotation exclusively with different flavors for about 4 weeks. At the end of the 4th week, they started getting weak so I have them in a sonic cleaner right now to try to revive them, and I broke out the 4th one to get me through. Even if I can only get 10 days of heavy use out of each of these they will be first choice on my 650mAh eGo batteries, and I'll be getting the new ones soon.

I just got 2 of the regular length wick stardust things in today. Meh, they're good due to ease of use no doubt, but the stiff draw and dry hits add a learning curve that I've gotta get used to. Filled one, vaped it dry, refilled, then went back to my sub tank. They'd be PERFECT if the draw wasn't as stiff and they wicked a lil better. In time I'm sure they'll be perfected, and for now, I'm still going to carry one with me since they're a convenient size. I gave my wife the other one, hoping shell enjoy its ease of use vs refilling her 808 cartos nightly.
