That's where I got mine, Hoosier. I had emailed Brent cause they only worked on 1 of my KGO's, but after I jiggled the center post they both worked fine. If I go from the stardust to a carto or atty, I have to rejiggle the posts, which is odd. Not sure if he got a funky batch or not, but just a heads up in case yours don't vape right outta the box :)

Stiff draw and dry hits? Wow, I don't have that experience at all - quite the opposite.. It knocked my socks immediately after filling. Are you using the 808 version or the eGo version?
I just got 2 of the regular length wick stardust things in today. Meh, they're good due to ease of use no doubt, but the stiff draw and dry hits add a learning curve that I've gotta get used to. Filled one, vaped it dry, refilled, then went back to my sub tank. They'd be PERFECT if the draw wasn't as stiff and they wicked a lil better. In time I'm sure they'll be perfected, and for now, I'm still going to carry one with me since they're a convenient size. I gave my wife the other one, hoping shell enjoy its ease of use vs refilling her 808 cartos nightly.

I can see the stiff hit and dry hit comments, but a quick tip down and that solves the dry hit on the short wick versions...no after taste either. Stiff hit I do notice, I am going to try drilling a small hole or two in the bottom metal skirt as some have filed the notches to relieve this. I don't like the idea of messing up the finish so I think that a small drilled hole will look more like it came that way. We shall see...

I am crazy about the newer color Stardusts, and have been alternating about 4 of them throughout the past month on KGO batteries. (These are what I refer to as V2: metal pips in the middle, short wicks, and LR, like 2.1-2.4?) My hub vaped one to death for two weeks straight; I then cleaned that one and gave him a second one for backup. The next day he hands me one of his KGO batteries and tells me the battery doesn't work. I'm like what the?? Our KGO sets were only a month old, and I hadn't had any trouble with my two. So I take his battery, slap one of my Stardusts on it, and of course it works just great.

So that is why your post in particular interested me. It turned out that only that one Stardust V2, which was heavily vaped and not cleaned for two weeks, WILL still fire great (after one cleaning two weeks ago) on any of our old Ego batts, but not on the KGO. And not one of the 5 or so I've been vaping with for a month have had that problem.

When you say 'jiggled the center post', can you clarify whether you are talking about the battery, or the Stardust? I think you are talking battery, but I have never messed with my KGO's and with no dismantling, there is nothing there to jiggle :) Just wanted to be sure what the solution was in case that ever happens to me. But in our case, it has so far been an issue with one Stardust V2 LR only, so I assumed it was a just a slight defect with that one Stardust, and didn't have anything to do with the batteries.

I have of course read many comments recently from folks switching to V2 short-wick Stardusts who say they are not fond of the short wicks. But I am not sure long wicks, especially the multiple long ones in the upcoming V3, will be the cure-all. Maybe they will be a big improvement, but they could have their own issues. I've read several threads around the web talking about why the short thicker wicks may work better. The only example I can find at the moment is a UK thread, re short vs long wicks, that I just saw tonight: Upgraded Vision Clearomizer (Version 2) $4.5/pc

The first thing I thought when I saw the V3's was.... yuck, all those wicks look ugly, like a mop (ha!) And then I thought, how much juice are these cartos gonna hold when there's all that mass of wick in there? Ah, but if you could vape them until they were almost empty, and did not have to hold them mostly horizontally, that would be a big improvement. But until we get some actual evidence of them performing better by real users, I'm going to hold off on getting too excited about them :) In one thread, a store owner stated that the short wick Stardusts performed better in his opinion; but all his customers were clamoring for longer wicks, so they were going to start offering them too.

We absolutely love the short wick Stardusts, with the colors, and the metal pip inside. The short version is - only 3 dry hits in a month of vaping 4 of them, when I let the fluid get too low, consistent flavor, love the draw, don't have to do long inhales for good throat hit or vapor, blissfully quiet, NO LEAKING, fast & easy filling with a bottle, no juice in the mouth, can chain vape with no issues, and they do not get hot - plus they look fantastic! I left out easy to clean and dry burn, but we only do it every week or so; still using our original 6 for over a month of heavy vaping. If these new 'mop' types perform even better, that would be great!

The only flaw in Stardusts is that they have a really stiff draw on a KGO (although ego-T users might disagree) but an ugly 510 cone adapter with proper sized slots can fix this problem, they don't always wick well, and lastly they are not always consistent in manufacturing quality. I got 4 the other day that actually had been primed with 555 flavored juice. Gross! Always wash and dry burn them until the coil glows red before you fill them the first time or you'll get a gross taste from the primer oil they use on it. Also, they can leak both into the battery reservoir and through the drip tip if you overfill them or turn them upside down too long. The juice gets in the center pipe through the holes by the wick and runs either down into the battery or up through the drip tip. If you forget to screw the drip tip on and just pop it in there like you are used to doing and then hold it upside down you can spill all your juice out. I did that the other day walking the dog. So, no, you're not dreaming, you just didn't see the flaws yet. They aren't perfect but they are awesome!

That said, they are long lasting if you clean them every 3 tanks full (around a month) and you can easily rebuild the coil and replace the wick. Estarra - YouTube check out this channel ( do a search for stardust ) for details on how to clean, maintain, and rewick/re-coil your stardusts. These are the best tanks on the market for budget minded vapers who enjoy getting full flavor for once. Also, you get valuable rebuilding experience.

I love my new Stardusts! I have one on my eGo and one on my kGo and they both work wonderfully! I don't find the draw tight, but a little lacking in the throat hit. Still, I am not giving up on them and I look forward to the newer and improved versions, as I will be buying more of them. Are there any tips and tricks to improving them? I've heard of pulling the wicks out a little or moving the cone inside a bit. Either way, I love the look of them, but I hope maybe we can use our own drip tips in the future, although I like the included one. I'd like to try the longer wicked ones, are they a LOT better?

BTW, I am using the SR versions (2.2-2.7 ohms?), almost got the LR ones but I didn't know if they'd make a huge difference. Would LR be a lot better?

One problem, what to do with my stockpile of cartomizers that now look old and unsatisfying :)

You can send them to me because I must be one of the only people on earth that hates the Stardusts. I will say one thing, it did look sexy on my provari, but I can't base everything on looks.

I have the LR, and boy are they awesome! Mega TH. But then again, TH it has a lot to do with the ejuice too....

I got a 4 pack of the V1 Stardusts about a month ago and I was using three of them in rotation exclusively with different flavors for about 4 weeks. At the end of the 4th week, they started getting weak so I have them in a sonic cleaner right now to try to revive them, and I broke out the 4th one to get me through. Even if I can only get 10 days of heavy use out of each of these they will be first choice on my 650mAh eGo batteries, and I'll be getting the new ones soon.

There are some great videos on YouTube for cleaning and taking these apart.

You really don't need to take them apart, just get some tweezers pull out the silicone plug rinse and shake out about 6-8 times, fling out the water/IPA/PGA whatever your using then pulse dry burn till there is no more is no more sizzling sound. Put the plug back in the top, and use the tip to seat it back on the center tube as you screw it on.

Also I have converted quite a few of my Soldiers by recommending an ego type batt or vv box mod and the stardusts. I have one NCO that told me they are great but don't give him that "oomph" in his chest like his reds did. So I took his apart, pulled out the wick, unwrapped the LR coil and took a coil from a used 2.0 ohm DCC and wrapped the wick with 5 wraps. I don't have a multimeter, but since he has a vv box mod I just had him turn up the voltage incrementally till it almost tasted burnt then turned it slightly down. He's loving the stardust now and is getting the "oomph" he wanted as well at high voltage.

I need to get more of them as well. Does anyone know of a site that sells both the colored Stardusts as well as 510 extenders? I need both, would rather order from the same site.

These appear to have the long wicks and are only $2.45.

Same site, adapter, $4.00

Edit: Crap upon closer inspection, they might not be long wicked. Which would explain the low price.
