I differentiate between the money I spend on material goods & money I invest in my education, though I don't do this on paper. I figure most of what I've spent on vaping supplies was actually educational expenses & I don't even try to keep up with those. It takes what it takes to learn what we learn, & so far for me it's been worth the cost because I consider knowledge to be priceless. (Your knowledge is your most useful possession, & you'll probably never wear it out.) :D

This is my first post on this forum, which I have been utilizing for over two months to make all decisions in buying vaping devices, tanks, jucies, etc. Also, a forum which has been an absolute pleasure exploring and learning from. Great educational tool.

On to the question of the OP:

Investment for my wife and I is approximately $700 in a little over two months of being cigarette free. This includes:

2 Njoys which got us started, and lasted about two weeks. On to an ego starter kit, which included two stardusts, two batteries, two chargers and a few bottles of juice and lasted about another two weeks before finally settling on 2 provari mini (one black with blue led for me and one pink with red led for wifey), charger, 3 batteries, three Vivi Nova tanks, and two carrying cases.

We were spending appox $12 a day, which would equate to over $800?? in that same time frame, so we figure it is money well spent, especially considering we are now spending way less per day, and feel much better physically.

Next big purchase for me is hopefully a Z Atty Pro.

Cheers.

I'm keeping my grand total below my tracker here on the forums, so I know how much I've spent, and how much I've saved, and when the totals meet.

So see below!

I think I've spent about $200 so far in my first month but hopefully I'm set up. Of course there are a lot of shiny new things I'd like to add to my collection but all in good time lol. BTW, how do I get one of those tickers that show money saved and days quit? Thx! :thumb:

Rough estimate I figure less than 500.00 since I started vaping, but that includes some ecig gifting, too. One of the benefits of starting to vape is that I have become so absorbed by it that I got the heck away from ebay, lol.
I was spending hundreds of dollars over there and at the time was spending bookoo money on ciggys too.
I did get two eGo twists last month tho. Every month I usually just buy cartos and Juice, but by golly next month I'm gonna score me an iTaste MVP if its the last thing I do, lol.

Probably around 800$ since I started vaping, around 8 month ago. I probably spent around 150$ with I company I didn't liked at all but since I found my supplier of choice I've spent a lot into trying different products they had to offer. As they seems to have new products frequently and upgrade their old products, I probably pass an order every 5-6 weeks. I also have to include a massive order I just did with a good Black Friday deal, I'm currently waiting for so many clearomizers and batteries that I'm probably good to last for the whole next year...! Next step is to find a good DIY nic base supplier in Canada so I can juice up those clearos like hell. I hope this will help with spending a bit less...

My costs are big - I maybe didn't do enough research before buying the first one, and I really didn't understand the incompatibility among different systems. But I must have spent thousands on other quit smoking paraphernalia and this feels more like an investment.

I'm going to take the hardware I'm not using and the liquids I don't like and send them to my little sister - she's used to my hand-me-downs ;-)

and will be dropping another $150 tomorrow when Lavatube version 2 comes out

YEAH? I didn't know about a new version til your post! I'll have to check into it.

Like some of the folks above, I keep a running total of expenses below my sig...and it includes two starter kits I gave to friends, plus my own ego batts, 3 ego twists and a Lavatube (6 Vivi Nova and many, many clearomizers. After a year, I started DIY and I'm tickled that I like my own flavors better than those I can buy. I expect expenses over the next year will be even lower than I'm projecting. Oh yeah...IFEELAHECKOFALOTBETTERTOO! :D

About $350 in the last 3 months. But...

A) 75 of that was wasted on an awful kit because I didn't do my homework first. (And I have a cabinet loaded with juice)

And B) Just look at my sig. :D

Bah! I messed around and made my sig disappear. But at the time of the post, I have saved more from not spending on tobacco than I had spent on startup costs.

Ive probably spent 1000-1300 usd last year on vape supplies, used to cost me 3000 on tobacco, 1 1/2 pad habit. I agree 100% that research helps to keep your costs down, but also,in my journey with vaping, my needs have changed with time. Started out at 36 mil juice and im down to 6 mil now, lol. I know that during my transition phase, I needed my provari!..because I vaped like a freight train!, but as time progresses, my needs changed. Now I love the smaller stuff. My latest is eRoll...lol, what a nifty lil creation. However, 9 months ago, it would have been a waste of money, and wouldnt have met my need. I also think that buying new gear, juices,etc..helps to keep you excited in your journey, and focused on vaping! So try and not be so hard on yourselves about the costs...you will spend the money regardless! Atleast we are trying to improve our health, for ourselves and our families!
