I vape openly, just not in restaurants and similar environments...And I always vape respectfully...But I will not Vape militantly where ever I damned well please just to prove a point. Sorry but I'm not one of those types of vapers. I vape for myself, not for the education of others. If that's wrong, then so be it but why am I responsible for what other's think of vaping?
I'm totally on board with this position.
I, too, am a proud "open vaper", and I approach it in pretty much the same way.
I vape in my car--and I NEVER hide it.
I vape when I'm out walking in public--and I never hide it.
I vape in bars and restaurants where I know it's allowed--and I never hide it.
But I'm not going to militantly vape where I know it's not acceptable, and I don't go around blowing vape in people's faces. I try not to vape around children and I don't vape in other people's houses unless I know they are cool with it.
"Stealth vaping", IMO, only promoted this idea among LEOs and the general public, that vaping is somehow dicey, or that you are doing something wrong, dangerous or illegal. If someone can't make it through a movie without vaping, then it's not the rules that are a problem--that person has a SERIOUS nicotine addiction that is obviously interfering with your life, and they need to address that.
I carry around the biggest most complicated, high-tech rig I own most of the time--an eVic with an AMP Tank. I get a LOT of questions, and I parlay those questions into opportunities to educate people about e-cigs and vaping.
And I can't see anything wrong with educating people who otherwise woudl never have any idea what we're all about...
