I had only been a member of ukvapers for about 3 weeks but will be sad to see it go, hopefully if a new forum is set up TW will be excluded so this never happens again

If your excluding one vendor you have to exclude them all and that would make for a really great general chat forum.

To have a forum on a subject you need to be unbiased and starting to exclude specific subjects is censorship and a nightmare to moderate. I hope the new UKVapers.org starts a fresh and everyone lives happily side by side, giving everyone a fair go.

Leaving aside JC's personal beliefs and attitude, his staff work hard to give his company a good name and reputation, just a shame he comes along to spoil it. the products he sells are on par with any other vendor and he has gone one step further trying to develop a British made device, OK its had it's teething problems but what devices don't, give them a chance to get it right and we could have the start of a great new manufacturing industry taking some business away from the Chinese.

What would you all do if TW became the sole distributer for the GG products, the Provari or Darwin.

It is not the new forum excluding a vendor, he said that he didn't want to be a part of it, that he wanted to "exterminate a hive", so presumably that vendor will not take part. Self exclusion, he has excluded himself.

Thats his choice if he takes no part in the forum but if others want to review his products and comment on the service then they should be allowed.

I reckon the best thing we former users of UKV can do is demonstrate our solidarity and appreciation by getting behind whatever community it is we make for ourselves, in the same spirit. Our troubles as a community seem horribly trivial by comparison with the trials she, her daughter and family will be going through.

But if some day in the future she finds herself in a position to gain some comfort from it, all to the good.

I'd buy a different device. I have zero respect for anyone who bullies someone else into submission because they have more money than the other person. It's deplorable, unethical and gives everyone who sells vaping products a bad name.

With his money he could put something like the GGTS into full production and i don't think the Golden Greek would turn that sort of deal away.

I don't know your history but i presume you were a smoker at one point, so you supported a tobacco company that kills most of its customers now thats deplorable and he has not given vaping products a bad name, if you ask me if anything he has shown vapers in a bad light with all the petty threats toward his business.

I hope all the data from UKV will remain in some archived form or another. It's not just a community we have lost. It is an enormous resource, packed full of useful information going back a long time... It is this information which is the real loss here. It is this information that TW have inevitably lost to us all due to their actions. A great, great shame. As a historical document of the early times of vaping, forums like this take a long time to mature and are essential. The information, time and effort people have put in to it. To lose that. That's the real crime here.

Not to mention the cost to individual mod-makers in loss of revenues. The list goes on.

I hope they are happy now. I would say what I really think about this, but I'd get banned and definitely sued.

As long as they can sleep at night. That's the main thing.

Jackie, I am so sorry for the troubles you have had. Peace to you, your daughter, and loved ones. Thank you for UKV. It is already sorely missed.

I am sorry for the membership that have lost a great resource. Much wisdom is sprinkled about on that forum.....now lost to us all.

I am sorry for the mod makers. Those "little guys" trying to feed their families and make something special for us.

Karma is a, well you all know. I would not want to be on the receiving end of the negatives that have gone out.

Well those choices are not limited to the consumer, but also those that make a business out of our patronage. They too can make choices, and in a free market, one is never forced to put profit before personal ethics.

I will not buy a certain brand of product again, I'm absolutely as certain of that as I am of any other rational consumer choices I make. And if the maker of a great mod chooses to use that brand for their distribution, then so be it. I won't be buying the brand, and therefore by association, their great mod. Their bed, they can lie in it.

TW will come out of this ok in the end, although I think they've lost many customers for good, the vaping community is growing fast,,,,,there will be new customers who have never heard of them. And some people will shop there if the prices are right, no matter what,,,,,,,,,,short memories. I also know that the only two local places I have to shop at BOTH sell TW exclusively,,,,,there's always people who prefer to buy locally than order online. They'll come out fine in the end. I'm sorry. I don't know your history either. But I have been abreast of ALL of this, right from the start. And can I just say, with the greatest of respect. Please get up to speed with all the facts, before chiming in.

Having said that. I will never knowingly buy their products. That's my own personal choice, that's how I choose to go. I never actually bought TW products anyway simply because I could find them cheaper elsewhere from other vendors. I think they do sell good products and from what I can tell have reasonably good customer services too. That's nice for them and I congratulate them for it.

From my own personal perspective, they could deliver my juice on the wings of virgins. They will still get dollar zero from me now.

Much like I didn't buy Oranges from South Africa during Apartheid. I'm sure they were tasty. Didn't sit right with me, so I didn't buy them.

I know it makes little to no difference if I buy from them or not, and in posts made by their CEO previously, he doesn't care either.

It makes me feel better though, and as a consumer I will only buy from vendors I like.

I really liked UKV, you get more honest opions on vendors and products than here -- but that may be a problem for all UK-based forums.....
