Steam Monkey announces... The Link: A Zen2 spec product line up.

my first batch of prototype tubes will be here tomorrow! I'll have pics of all three battery sizes as soon as I'm done drooling over them 
here's a quick and dirty, I'll get some 'nicer' pictures later.
The 'assembled' device has my switch, the brass monkey 18490 tube, the Z2 510 head off of my sidewinder, and an Igo-L.

sorry for the crappy pics, I'll take some time with it tomorrow, it's been crazy in the monkey labs so far this weekend.
dripper will be at least a week, if not 2. it's one of the more complicated machine jobs and uses multiple machines so they're knocking out the 'easy' stuff first.
My dripper is going to be a treat too...
I took the top of the Zenesis RBA as my base. It uses the same center post and screws that the Zenesis uses but it has 2 of the ground screws, one on either side. There are 2 kidney shaped drip wells machined into the deck and it's the exact same dimensions as the top of the Zenesis atomizers which means your Zenesis top cap and my Link RDA top cap are interchangeable.
The two ground screws and center post arrangement make it super easy to do dual or even quad coil set ups, I'll be releasing some speciality caps for thsoe types of set ups with dual airholes down the line. The initial cap will match the current zen lines perfectly, without the logo obviously
I really shot for complete compatibility with the existing Zen2 stuff. This thing will look like Zen made it himself, the same machine finish, the same chamfered top, and identical dimensions. If you put my dripper on a Zen2 steel tube, it'll look like it belongs there.

no plans to put the monkey on the top cap, I might not even have the monkey on the next tube style I do. this is the "brass monkey" line of the Link system, the monkey seemed appropriate
Right now I'm mostly focusing on getting the Link system launched and started, how well it does will determine how fast more products come out since it's sorta the kick start on my funding for development.

Either way I am so excited to get some 3rd party stuff. The combinations of setup is going to be ridiculous!

That's part of the hope. I really believe in Mikes concept and wanted to support it as well as tie into an existing ecosystem. Sure, it's not a 'big' ecosystem yet, but I think it will be. I also am a strong supporter of american made product, I haven't had the ability to sell american made stuff that much as I grew the store from my little tiny bank account launch, but I'm getting there and, if the Link launch is successful it will be the foundation for a LOT more American development.

the brass tubes are starting to get a patina on them already, gonna try to get a nicer picture today of the one I've been using. It's getting that rich, dark, antique brass look now which I personally find to be sexy as hell
I agree! That and gun metal are gonna look great together! Can't wait for the pics
