well, they're still there. Not as popular as I'd imagined but they served their purpose and they'll be there for if folks want a stainless switch instead of the brass button switch I'm having made for the official launch.

Honestly if the vape budget allowed I'd be grabbing up 2 myself! But I do want a brass one :)

I actually want the barrel of monkey's edition. I should go price that out!

did some test builds on my zenesis atomizer tonight, treated it like a dripper (made a mess with no drip wells lol) but I'm quite pleased with the performance. As soon as i have a dripper proto in hand I'll be immediately doing some build videos. This doesn't build like a standard dripper due to the vertical coil but the performance is downright solid!

I have been informed, my Brass Monkey Switch buttons are "done" :)

Also, I wanted to make a little note here because I've seen a lot of comments out in the wild about the cost of the Z2 switches.

Switches aren't available separately, I'm not 'gouging' because of that (as some have accused me). The simple fact of the matter is, switches cot a freakin ton to make. They're THE most expensive part to make. As an example, 'my' costs on the Z2 switches are almost as high as the machine costs for the actual Dripping atomizer + Cap. between the multiple machined parts, assembly of all those parts, non machined parts and gold plating, it just runs the price well up.

A lot of mod makers who have custom built machined switches will tell ya, that's the part that will make or break the mod. Not the head, not the tube, it's the switch. That's "The" thing that makes it work so it has to be given the most love.

I will be pricing my system a la cart, or "in parts" full devices will be available in limited quantities with each major release, those devices will be slightly discounted for buying the whole system at once, sort of a "thanks for investing in my system" but the discount on full kits will be minor because I believe, wholeheartedly, that the very essence of this concept is to make a modular, "build your own" device is important. We all have different vape tastes, different juices, different preferences in battery size, wattage, VV vs VW, RBAs vs Cartos, dripping vs tanks, etc. I want you to be able to vape how YOU want and put together a device that does what YOU want and not be locked into it if you decide you want to change.

You can do that, to a certain extent with the current system... the 510. But that connector is not without it's flaws and at the budget end, those flaws mean a lot less. You get what you pay for. For the higher end devices, eliminating those flaws is an imperative in my honest opinion. The Z2 thread spec does that, and as it propagates throughout the community of manufacturers you're going to see any vape configuration you could ever want, available in the system.

At the launch of my line, you'll have a Genesis style RBA on the market, a 510 head for backwards compatibility, an amazing carto tank, and a dripping atomizer. With a Kick or Stomp or whatever, you can turn those into VW devices and with the DNA20 Z2 devices in development right now you'll have even more options.

I'm working on multiple head designs as well as multiple switch designs to add to the system in the next 6mo to year to continue broadening the options available to you in the Z2 line, I know Mike's not resting on his laurels either...

It's an exciting time for manufacturers and consumers alike with the speed of development and proliferation of innovation in the Vaping world.

Yeah, DNA20 is in my sights as well as a couple other manufacturers for the Z2 system. I'm not sure how quickly i"ll be able to get my version out or if I'll be doing an addon or a purpose built DNA20 device with Z2 threads on it yet, I have rough designs on both that wouldn't take too long to get into production. It really depends on the Link launch for me.

I'm currently vaping the brass monkey 18650 tube with my clone switch, Zens 510 head, an Igo-L built to 2ohm and a Kick2 cranked to about 12-13w (just a slight turn back off of 'max') and it's absolutely lovely :)

In 18650 mode with an AW IMR and this set up the kick2 (preproduction mind you) makes almost 0 visible gap. with the mod assembled. I believe the production version might be just a hair slimmer which 'should' make it a perfect fit with an appropriate battery in the device.

I'm waiting for a couple more parts before i do more beauty shots ;)

I really want y'all to see it with the brass switch and knurled 510 head (the dripper will be a little later!) it's gonna be sexxxy.

I'm super excited about this device.

You guys are mostly Zen fans already so you already know what it'll perform like, but that brass... it's got the same machine finish that's used on the SS Zen tubes so it's got that lovely satin feel, smooth but not slick. It looks different on the brass, almost softer but still a little shiny and after it's started to develop a patina it just looks awesome.

The brass is darkening now, you can polish it back up easy enough, but I am in love with the way this finish tarnishes. It's got that rich, smokey look.

Got the new switch, and I'm extremely impressed with it! I've tried it on all my Zenesis mods, it threads on everyone of them like butter!

Your switch fits all perfectly, fires them with ease too. The throw on this switch is very little making it really easy to push. There is no wobble on my mods either, they stand up nice and straight with your switch!

Have a question, what did you say the screws were made of or plated with? It's darker in color than the gold screws that Zen now uses, it's copper in color. I'm not complaining, just curious, because this thing rocks! It fires easy and hard.

Thanks a bunch for the switch, in my opinion, it's worth every dime I paid for it.............I love it!!

same process Zen uses. Coloration in gold plating can shift from batch to batch depending on a number of factors. The screws are stainless with a multi stage plating process that ends in 24k Gold.

Glad you're enjoying it :)

I got to see pictures of the new brass button switch for the Link today, very exicted, they're currently in assembly and the dripper is about 1/4 done. We're gettin a lot closer to being able to launch now!
