I don't make juice
I just buy it. A few do better after sitting for 2-3 weeks so I figured this would speed it up. Hmmm... I tried it with an empty and it did peel the label. Hmmm.

Regarding labelling, I stick a piece of scotchtape on the top of the cap & label that since it isn't in the water & doesn't get wet.
After they're done, I dry off & label the bottle (or just stick with the cap-label when I'm feeling lazy lol)
I'd suggest getting some empty glass bottles for steeping then put them back in the original bottles after if you'd like.
UC steeped juice in hours & no label problems.

When I make test batches in 5ml glass bottles they are fully submerged in the water so tape and lables are out of the questions but I love the colored rubber band idea. Will need to run out and get some. Great suggestion.
Hmmm... this is interesting. When it's running, we hear a low buzzing noise, not a big deal and it's totally normal.
My 10 year old daughter, however, says that she hears a loud buzzing that hurts her ears and it's as loud as people talking! LOL. Maybe she's part canine? Although it doesn't affect my dogs either. For now, I just don't use it if she's around it.

If it has the plastic basket try using that it does quiet it a bit. If you don't have one then I think the basket that a 4 pack of fresh tomatos or carton of fresh strawberrys comes in will work. I've also put a rubber jar cap opener on the bottom and that made it almost slient. But I'm not sure how much that will reduce the efficency of the ultrasonic waves. I've read that it's not a good idea to put something solid like a rubber mat on the bottom of the tank but a plastic basket is fine in fact most UC's come with one.
By the way I have 3 golden retrievers and a black lab and never once has any one of them complained. My kids on the other hand although grown and on there own would complain whether it bothered them or not

So I placed an order for an UC out of Amazon , has the 8 min cycle , sold it to my better one as vitamin enhancer
Anyways , what exactly are you putting inside ? The final juice including targeted nic or only the concentrated flavoring ?
Does it make any difference if you use PET bottles or glass ? My understanding is that heat function might damage bottles so recommended path is cold water ?
I sifted trough the thread and some posts kinda go either way so please clarify .

You steep your final juice. No point in trying to get flavoring to blend with just itself.
You can use either PET or glass. Though I prefer glass myself for everything.
No chance for leached plasticizers & stands up better to heat & long-term storage.
If the water is too hot, plastic bottles may swell up.

It's actually fairly well known that when we are young we have better hearing in the higher frequency ranges and as we age, we lose that ability....
In fact some teenagers somewhere started using these tones on their phones so that adults couldn't hear there cell phone ring...
