I voted no cigarettes since e-smoking, which is true.
But I do take a hit off my friend's cigarette every 1-2 days. Just for fun so I can say "Ewww that tastes like crap!" and tell him he's nasty.
It's kinda become a ritual. Ha!

I find myself wanting a cigarette a few times a day. Pretty bad too. I'm not sure what to do about it so I just smoke my e-cig till it goes away.
I'd like to have 1-2 real cigs a day actually, but I don't think I'd be able to do that. I'd probably end up smoking more and more until I'm half and half or worse. So until I fall over from not having a real cig, I'll stick to the e-cig and the occasional cigar.

I voted sometimes but I'm free of tobacco since friday afternoon. Got some eye surgery coming up at the start of august so I want the house as particulate free as possible. Evil T-Bob is tempting me with Snus and I'm voting the Huck Finn ticket on that one:

I was a-trembling, because I'd got to decide, forever, betwixt two things, and I knowed it. I studied a minute, sort of holding my breath, and then says to myself, "All right, then, I'll GO to hell.

yup, been following the tech for the last twenty years, waiting for two things to be true:

a) Acceptance by Moorfields Eye Hospital as valid treatment
b) No exploding eyeballs for a period comparable to the length of time I'm likely to need mine

well, Moorfields started doing the surgery a few years back and there have been no major issues with the process. It's mature enough for me to go for it.

God knows, haven't been tested for years, but it's double figures. I would have been on the cusp for treatment even a year or two ago, but it's fine now. The kicker is corneal thickness. There has to be enough tissue to allow the treatment. In keeping with the rest of my head, I appear to have very thick corneas.

Well, I just voted - no cigs since esmoking.

And tomorrow is my 3 month Anniversary of no smoking!

I never thought of doing both, using reg cigs and esmoking also.

But geezzz... you guys are giving me ideas

Cindy, that's great. And don't even try a cigarette. Go to Dr. Laugesen's Health New Zealand site, where he has reports on e-cig testing for Ruyan, among other things. Read carefully what he says studies show about even using 1, 2 or 4 cigs a day. It undoes all the good. There is essentially NO benefit gained if even a morning and after-supper cigarette is smoked.

That surely seems arguable to me, but the studies are worth reading and thinking about. What seems clear is that these show inhaling any tobacco is harmful, but he has found nothing harmful yet about e-smoking. His reputation is on the line, so I don't think he's lying.

Related.. I think
Last week I had an attack of sciatica - never had that before.
The first 2.5 days I had excruciating pain and had absolutely no desire to smoke, not a reg cig nor my ecig.

That was pretty surprising to me since in the past during the absolute worst URI (upper respiratory infection) I still smoked.

I think the difference here was the degree of pain. Apparently severe enough to frighten the hell out of me..
