Been using mods for 11 months now. I'm still worried about these fear mongering articles where guys (usually due to their own mistakes) have big problems. I use authentic (I think) Samsung 25rs and Sony VTC 4s from Myepack (i'm from the UK). The company has been recommended on here a few times. I use an intellicharger D4 bought from Nitecore. I use a sigelei 150 and 75 mostly with an authentic troll rda or clone kayfun. I build quite high usually to avoid stressing my batteries at all. I occasionally build .3 coils and run them on my mech. It worries me to push the 25r to 15 Amps when it is capable of 20A. I am worried about getting a faulty battery. I know it is a 1/1000000 chance. Any recommendations or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

I sounds to me like you are doing every thing you can to prevent an accident. Just continue what you are doing and I feel sure you will be fine.

Most of the accidents you have been reading about were caused by those that had no idea that if mis-handled and pushed past their limits bad things would happen.

In the meantime maybe you should up your nic and just chill :D

I like to read about these things and think about turtles to relax. You will be ok as you are already in the right place and using caution. This place has taught me a ton but I had to be an adult and research.

I understand the worry over batteries. Electricity in general. That's why I have personally limited myself to 50% proven battery capacity. So on a 25R or say a efest 35a that have been proven at around 20amps, the lowest I will build is .4ohms. For me anything below .3 ohm requires at least 2 batteries, even in a regulated mod.
FWIW, most of the time I build at or around 1ohm. The only time I build lower is when I want to impress somebody with my cloud making ability. This has nothing to do with safety. It's about I get great flavor and more than enough clouds at a round 1 ohm, and I don't have to refill my tanks constantly. Sure I could get MORE flavor by going lower, but not better flavor, IMO.

I know you are talking about batteries and with my Sigelei having all these shut off safety features; I don't worry. That's why it was recommended and why I bought it. Some people at work talk about possible vaping hazards, and I look at it in a practical manner. I'd been smoking 40 years and the odds of my death being cigarette related were in the 10 to 1 or even higher range. Its a very good and safe thing to vape when compared to what I was doing previously. That is all I can say.

No problems on the regulated mods but if you are overly concerned about battery safety you should run your .3 on there though and not on the mech. The mech has no safeties built in the regulated mods do.
