Stories of the Paranormal

It's funny that almost every forum I have ever belonged to, has eventually had a topic on the paranormal. And I am a sucker for it. Although I am a spirit hunter... I do enjoy UFO and Cryptozoological sightings as well. My team just doesn't investigate those.

Quick story from my own home...

I have two members that claim to be psychic mediums. When I was first introduced to them, I was a tad skeptical of their abilities as often you see scammers and shysters.

HOWEVER, when they first arrived at my home to meet for the first time, they both asked my about the little old lady on our breezeway? Then they went on to inquire about whom she shot at with a pistol....?

Now the answer. The woman my wife bought the house from in 2005 died in 2006. The team members came to my home for the first time in 2008. The sink in our kitchen is stainless steel and encompasses about 3 1/2 feet of counterspace with a backsplash also of SS. Just above the faucet on the backsplash, there is a dent from a bullet fired by the old lady at her husband back in the 1950's (A story relayed to my wife by one of the ladies nephews). After the team members asked about the shooting, my wife then pointed out the dent and told the story... the first time I had heard it as well.

Needless to say, I now have a healthy belief in the power of the psychic mind.

That's amazing Jibba.

I've always been a bit of a skeptic regarding people with claims of psychic abilities, but over my long life I have encountered a couple people who left no doubt in my mind.

Its interesting that the old lady still stands in the breezeway with her pistol. Clearly this act was a major event in her life.

Nope I misspoke... They saw the old lady on the breezeway as they drove up the driveway. When they got out they "Sensed" the shooting incident. As it is often explained to me by them, POWERFUL emotional moments are either imprinted on a location or item, or the power of an emotion holds a spirit to a location...

Yes, that makes perfect sense.

Facinating!

I have experienced premonition dreams. The dreams started in 2003. The dreams come true. I only wish I could have one that had tomorrows winning lottery number! (I would buy a round of e-juice for everyone!)

I have seen only 3 apparitions in my lifetime.
After my dad's death in late 2003 I felt him still in his house. At first, I was scared.(Later, I found it comforting.) He kept on banging the door and changing the TV station to sports stations. I told my mother to keep the station on. She would go into the kitchen and watch TV. I would be in the kitchen with her and after the game was over-the channel would change back to the soap opera channel. No one else was in the house. This happened until she moved out of the house. The house was sold and was leveled. Bass Pro got the property. This was in Missouri.

Wow Sdh. That is a short but powerful story! My gosh!

I can understand how you were comforted once you realized it really was your Dad and that he continued to enjoy his sports and being in the house with you and your mother. That's pretty special.

I know sometimes these things can be hard to talk about, but my thinking is that its nice to really know that we have some place to go when we're finished here. And you know, maybe, just maybe things worked out perfect with the Bass Pro Shop when you think about it ....

My gf's father passed away in 2005. He was a lifetime military man and was in the first Gulf war. As a result, he was mostly deaf in one ear. When he would watch TV he would crank the volume way up. We used joke with him about how loud the TV was. Anyhow, the day after his death my gf and I were in our bedroom. She was watching TV, I was messing around on the the PC. As I'm sitting there browsing the web I hear the volume on the TV getting increasingly louder. I immediately look at the TV to see the on screen volume dial going up. I then look to see where the remote is to see if I was accidentally laying on it causing the volume to go up. The remote was about a foot away from me. All this time the volume is still going up. Just as I pick up the remote the volume stops going up and the TV is blaring loud. My gf and I look at each and I said "I guess your dad is here and apparently he likes this show". We both chuckled, comforted by the thought that he came to say goodbye to us. That very same night, my gf's brother said his youngest boy was awake in the middle of the night looking at something only he could see. His boy could barely talk, being only a year old, but he was clearly saying "grampa" while looking at something, smiling and giggling.

Hey Jibba,

(In East Texas we tend to say "hey" instead of "hi." I don't know why).

Your web site is beautiful and appropriately foreboding! Very nicely done!

I followed the link to your Facebook page and you have some seriously interesting photographs there. I've been skeptical in the past of orbs shown on television programs and thought they were probably dust, insects or light refraction/ camera lens imperfections. The orbs shown in your photographs are clearly none of those things and the temperature variations reported were incredible. I liked the one about the investigator with ice crystals on the back of his neck! Hard to argue that!

As time goes on will you be adding photo's, investigation findings and information to your web page? It would be great to have links to each case right there instead of going to Facebook. Some of us old people like me have heard far more horror stories about Facebook than we have about spirits.

But your site is beautiful and I'd certainly encourage you to go on with it. It will be fun to watch it grow and develop.

LOL. Yes I am slowly but surely getting all my content from my old website over to the new one. The great thing about Weebly is I can have as many pages and sub-pages as I want for no charge... So I will definitely be doing each case to it's own page and each case having it's own research/history page. The Facebook Page will never have all the content that the website does. Just teasers to bring people to the site. I will also have a lot more articles on things related to the paranormal such as "What is an orb?" and topics like that...

I can't wait to see what all you come up with Jibba!

And the really nice part of the Web Site is the fact that we also have you here to answer questions. I think its important to debunk what isn't paranormal, because there is plenty that IS paranormal that we can focus on. I'm sure you can guide us in some of this also.

Jibba, if any of your team members vape, or even if they don't, please invite them to join us here too. It would be interesting to hear more about some of the experiences of those people as well.

This is an exciting opportunity for many of us to learn more about this field of study.

Yeah TT, Myself and another Investigator are Skeptical believers... I had an experience when I was young that made me interested in the paranormal and I want to try to prove what happened to me is happening to others. The other Inv. has never had an experience per se'. But he wants to believe it's possible. Then we have two full fledged believers who have had experiences. And the two Mediums/psichics.

I have thrown out more "evidence" than I have kept. Like they say on Ghost Hunters.. when in doubt, throw it out.

I don't do it for monetary gain. Our services are free and we are merely interested in helping people cope with unknown situations. To catch viable proof would simply be a bonus. However, 90% of all "paranormal activity" is due to a mundane cause. And that can be disappointing to someone who wants to believe. I have actually had a client tell me that even though we didn't catch a single bit of evidence at their home on two separate visits, that they "knew" their home was haunted. All we can do is try...

Hello Jibba!
I consider myself a skeptical believer as well. I'm always searching for some explanation that makes sense, even while wanting to believe. I have had several events that make me want to investigate further, and have been trying to work up my courage to take some paranormal investigation classes offered at a local college.(Neil McNeill is the instructor, if you've heard of him).

Anyway. Many of my experiences involve birds. For example, when we were caring for my mother at her home for the month before she passed - flocks of tiny birds came in through the fireplace twice. This had never happened before in the 40 years she'd lived in the house. We had to have a neighbor guy come over with a net and capture them for us. We all felt like they were being sent as messengers to let her know it was time.
My mom knew her time was near, but really did not want to go. She kept telling us "people were poking her" and she wanted them to leave her alone. We told her that that was her mom & sister & friends encouraging her to come along, but she flat out said she wasn't ready to leave my sister & I until she knew we'd take care of each other. We had to promise her we'd be OK.
When her time finally came, she went peacefully to sleep and didn't wake up.
Our family has always had tales of the birds sending messages, which I thought were
just entertaining stories...but as an adult...I've had quite a few messages brought by them.

TV, That is a comforting story. The birds in a mythological sense are sometimes considered harbingers of news... That is one of the mythos behind Alfred Hitchcocks movie "The Birds". It is commonly believed in Native American culture that birds come to carry your spirit to the heavens.

Whether it was coincidental that the birds came in at that time or not, does not matter. The message you and your family derived from the incident is far more powerful than any mundane explanation could denounce.

You should, if you're comfortable doing so, post some of the other times that birds played "messenger" in your life.

I'm learning new things already!

I suppose I'm like techno in that regard ... I love to learn. I'm sure many others here feel the same way or I don't think we would be here.

Prior to any investigation we recite both the Saint Michaels Prayer and our Native American member calls on a protective guide to shield us. As with anything that is unknown, we can only hope that these work...

I think it would be fun to learn about until you got the holly hell scared out of you lol. Or had some spirit\thing follow you home after an investigation.....not cool bro lol

I heard that. That would be my luck though. I'd get to sit in on a real cool investigation, only to start having the same stuff happening to me once I got back home lol.

Techno & the birds.

Just a sampling of some of my "bird" encounters.

I saw my first red cardinal in New York in 2001. I was smoking out in the parking lot of a hotel, when I saw it hopping along, then flying into some bushes.
I had always heard about them, but since there aren't any out here in Wash. I had never seen one. My dad was a big cardinals fan, and had made me a resin statue of one when I was a kid, which I still have. I always would buy him birthday cards with a red cardinal on it because he got a kick out of that.
Anyway, as I followed this cardinal around the lot, I was actually crying because I was so excited. It was like finally seeing a mythical creature! He finally flew off and I felt abnormally sad to see him go.
A few hours later, I called my mom to tell her about it, and she had just been informed of my step father's death. I immediately felt that he sent the little bird to tell me good bye for him.

One more...don't want to Bore you too much!!

Another rare bird out here is the blue bird. We do have the more annoying blue jays. But I'd never seen a smaller blue bird.
A couple of years ago, when I was going through a difficult time, a good friend of mine ended our telephone conversation with an unusual send off; he said "I hope the bluebird of happiness comes to you soon!". It made me chuckle at the time...But about 20 minutes later, again, me going outside to have a smoke...a freaking BLUE BIRD lands in my yard and just pokes around and looks at me.
I immediately called him back to say "WTH?"...and he said he didn't know WHY he'd said that. It just "came to him".
Anyway..It made me feel better. Kind of like "someone" was looking out for me.
