Well I got my order today, and everything I ordered was inside. That's where the good things end. I saw on the postage mark they barely shipped it yesterday 12/21 when I placed my order on 12/16. Whatever it got here in a week, that's not too bad, if you don't take into account that we're both in LA. But here is what I'm upset about, these guys didn't even fill up my bottles all the way, unlike every other vendor. It may only be a few ml's of juice total but that's pretty sad that they don't give you all that you pay for.

Once i get 15 posts I'll up a picture of the juice bottles exactly how they came so you all can see how much they left off. On a 30 ml bottle they left a little over a 1/4 inch of the top empty. That's starting from beneath the threads, I'm talking the main portion of the bottle. Lame, I'm not even gonna bother contacting them about this, since it's just gonna be more hassle.

Oh side note I have tried the pina colada and it smells good and tastes pretty good almost like a pina colada should, except there is a bit of a bitter under taste to it.

Greets,
I have been lurking around for a couple of weeks, trying to get off analogs.

About 10 days ago my girlfriend received two L2 510 kits, and five 30ml. bottles of 24mg. juice. The order came in about three days, and the price was right, seemed like a pretty good deal.
Within a day we started to have problems with the Batt's.
She sent an email with the following results.

Hello,

I received my order fast and, correct. Thank you.

I followed the charging instructions EXACTLY!

My first battery discharged without switch or light on. I noticed the unit very hot to the touch, seems like bad batt, and possible cooked atty.

The second one worked ok last night. This morning it got hot in my hand, I hadn't taken a hit in minutes I took the batt off, let it cool, and replaced it, seems ok at the moment, but this is not a good sign.

I gave the other kit as a present, not sure what to do about that.

This seems like a hassle.

From what I learned on ECF this seemed like a good deal, are you having a lot of problems like this?

Thanks,
Frankie
Hello,

We haven't received any reports Frankie. We will happily replace it, because, you are indeed covered under warranty.

~Jane with Lug2Inc.com

The second kit was for me, the switch failed in a couple of days, and the remaining two "good" batt's are starting to not hold a charge very well. I think at least one of the atty's got cooked, hard to tell about the rest with failing batt's.

We have not yet received anything as a warranty replacement. I'll keep you posted as to what happens.

btw, Great forum, lot's of info.

I originally posted this thread as Beyond the Competition. They have a nice website and they started adding new items right before Christmas. I would like to say that with any product there will likely be flaws. Like the L2 sticky battery. They are nice enough to replace batteries that are defective and they have this posted on their website:

THE L2 510 Battery Issue

Our manufacturer is currently producing new batteries for those reported as defective. However, if you report your atomizer and battery as being defective, please, make certain that the battery or atomizer is in fact defective.

Update: December 23, 2009. JoyeTech will be manufacturing the L2 510 from this point forward. And our first sets will arrive this week.

I don't know about the Mega-Batteries because I have not tried them. I know that they are still a small company and I'm sure they have been swamped all month. Maybe after the holidays things will get better. Or maybe not. They have some of the lowest prices in the U.S. and I'm sure everyone is trying them out. Even people who are not posting anything about them. So read the reviews here and make your own decision on if you want to order from them.

I personally like the Joye Atty's better than the L2 atty's that they sell. But that doesn't mean that the L2 isn't good. I just think the Joye atty has a little more kick.

A couple of juices that I have gotten from them seemed to be a little watered down but they still had flavor, and the other juices were O.K. Some juice bottles I recieved have safety seals on them, and some don't. Which leads me to believe that they either rebottle their juice or they have multiple suppliers. I personally think they rebottle some of their juice. But I will still order from them regardless.

With so many complaints on this thread about products and long shipping times, are they really Beyond the Competition?

You be the judge.

The real crying shame about the L2 batteries is that on my load tester they put out about a full .3V more than any of my Joye units (including the Megas). Now this is probably a function of the MOSFET switching circuitry that SLB used... and it is that very same switching circuitry that is causing them to "stick". But the extra voltage woulda been nice!

My order went in on Dec 12th, I emailed them monday or tuesday to find out what was up, had a prompt reply saying it was delivered to someone in Georgia, (I'm in the North east) and were sending out another package with extras, priority mail. I'm not low on anything so it's all fine with me.

I don't know what went wrong, maybe they have some helpers that can't read english very well, or maybe the USPS is at fault.

One thing that will bother me is if the flavor is diluted. They buy their liquid by the litre, so they must bottle it themselves. I have no problem with them cutting for nic levels, but flavor loss must be made up with factory supplied flavoring.

They could be beyond the competition if the service and quality was the same as when they started. Hopefully they will get it together because I was really happy with my first 2 orders. I still havn't got my 3rd yet that I ordered on the 16th.

A lot of people are saying "oh it's just that they're a new company and got swamped". I don't agree with that statement at all. If you're going to take someone's money, be PREPARED to deliver the goods.

Most importantly TO ME, however, is that I really detest shilling/shillers and will not do business with any vendor that practices it. I'm an old ebay'er from waaay back...I know shilling when I see it and a lot of these SEJ threads are rank with it.

I think they have been great so far. They have been nothing but up front about the battery issue, they are doing everything in their power to get new parts in (manufactured by Joye none the less) and then out to all those having problems with them.

They post on their front page they are swamped and orders will take longer to go out.

They are easy to get a hold of and respond quickly (at least in my experience).

Some people are .....ing about shipping times but if you chose free shipping it says right next to it 3 to 8 days, and being the holidays you can easily add 1 to 2 days to that. So although some people are angry it took a week and a half to get their orders, well that's not necessary in strictlyejuice's hands. Next time order priority.

I think for a company that's only been operating for about a month they are doing fantastic, I'd think many others would fall on their face in this kind of situation.

e-mail I received today:

Greetings E-Juicers,

This is our first Christmas together; and we, at StrictlyEJuice.com, would
like to wish you a Very Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays.

We have been open for approximately one month. Throughout this month, we’ve
learned much from all of you, experienced the hurdles, and have made system
changes to present a simple and reasonably priced atmosphere to all of our
fellow Vapers. We have taken all of your great comments and suggestions and
have made every attempt to surface them. In fact, we continue to make these
changes.

Within the past week, StrictlyEJuice.com was entertained with an acquisition
offer by a more well-known electronic cigarette retailer. This retailer,
better-staffed with employees and an in-house customer service desk (our
customer service desk is outsourced), is able to fulfill order and shipment
processing, at a quicker pace. However, we were told that prices would
increase by nearly 40%, and the free-shipping option, dissolved.

Overall, we simply couldn’t have that. Therefore, we will be making the
necessary adjustments within the next several months, to turn this part-time
venture, into a full-time reality.

Our owner’s birthday is on Christmas Day! So Happy Birthday, Chris! He is
giving all of you 5% off of any future order, from today until February 1,
2010. Coupon Code “xmas5” (without quotes).

With that said, and on behalf of StrictlyEJuice.com, we say Thank You for
supporting us. Happy Holidays everyone!

Always,
-Jane

Firstly, I am in no way affiliated with strictlyejuice.

I have had nothing but prompt and courteous service all of my orders have been acurate and just what was stated on the site.

Any inquiries i have made have been answered in a prompt and freindly manner.

There have been complaints the past two weeks or so about shipping times and quality issues.

They are a new company and are in my opinion just having the normal problems that some start-ups encounter.

I beleive that they may have not anticipated the volume of business that they encountered in this new and growing segment.

Some of the shipping problems are probably attributable to the USPS this time of year. I had an order placed on the 16th that shipped on the 17th the same time as a woman in SC.. I got mine a day earlier. You would have thought they would have arrived the same day.

The variances in juice could just be attributed to it being Dekang, in ordering from different vendors I've encountered the same thing in different orders from the same vendor with Dekankg .

I'm just saying we should probably give them a chace to get things stabilized before judging their businsiness.
I've been in the situation of under estimating the need for the services you are providing.
Trust me if they are sincere about wanting our business it is fairly easy to rectify this situation if given a little time.

Once the Christmas season is past, we'll see if the shipping returns to where it was. I'm betting it does. We've never had any reasons to complain about their costs, tastes, communications or delivery times. But, I made a point of not ordering as it got closer to the holidays.
I'm not shilling for them. I just never had any problems with them. I'd also recommend JD at True Smoker and Shawn at litecigusa.

I agree: I placed an small order late Sunday 12/13 and received 12/16. I only live 100 miles from them. Two day shipping from mypvshop.com one state away and two/three day shipping from vaping101.com & awesomevapor.com back east. Juice was fresh but not quite the same as I have receive from others quality places. It seemed thin and not as tasty for same strength . I will try them again as soon as they get some marlb US mix in. bty I have also received no so tasty juice straight from Dekang so as a vender once told me "Juice Goes Bad don't Stockpile It- Vap it". :D

I just got my order of juice yesterday:

Coffee Mint
Mint Chocolate Chip
Hooka Mint
Candy Cane
Pepper Mint
555
RY4
Hilton

I have tried them all and really like the flavors. The Candy Cane and Pepper mint (Pepper-Oh-Mint is what I think they call it) is awesome! So far I'm not disappointed and they do a great job! 555 / Hilton both have an awesome tobacco-y flavor to them and the mints are spot on!

EDIT: I ordered 12/16 and the order arrived 12/24

I ordered on the 16th and got mine yesterday too. It tastes as good as it did when I got my first order from them when they first started. Only difference is a 4 day delay in shipping. I can live with it. The price and quality of the juice make up for it. This could be a two or three person operation and it takes time to fulfill hundreds of orders. If prices stay where they are I will continue to order from them. I've ordered 10 different flavors and they all taste great IMO.

As most of you know, there are only two companies that JoyeTech has manufactured this exclusive battery for: TECC and TotallyWicked. In addition, boy, are those prices up there! Furthermore, those stores that do offer them for sale cannot sell them to U.S. and U.K customers.

So, in our efforts, we've requested that "some" manufacturer, manufacture them for us.

These Megas are lithium 280mAh Batteries with a manual button.

They are approximately 90mm in length and generally operate twice as long as a traditional 510 battery.

  • Manufactured by: Cannot Disclose
ok its funny cause i could have sworn i have seen sevral members say they bought from TW that are in the U.S. and i know i read that TW is in the U.K. and also have a U.S. branch that along with the other probs from thier battery and the fact that they wont disclose the manufacture has me very leary of thier hardware .
just my 2 cents
looking at my email got news from them today that my order shipped on the 24th when i oredered it on the 19th after they closed down shop for 2 days to catch up on orders and i did pay for priority shipping 6 days to get an order together really isnt cutting it if the juice is good may give them one more shot after they holidays if it is not i will be going elsewhere
