People are worried about whether certain establishments will allow ecigarettes. This is due to what they look like. They are shaped like cigarettes, and have the glowing tip. Someone might mistake them for a cigarette. My solition, is to have something that doesn't look like a cigarette, maybe like a pen, and no glowing tip. Problem solved. I doubt people will even notice the vapor, especially if it is dim..

Whether the FDA will want to ban the nicotine is another story. But why not come up with a solution like this?

what about the lighted tip? They absolutely have to get rid of those. Even the blue ones will get some self righteous liberal ...... off.

I like the fact that there are lights in the end. Although I do understand why some people wouldn't want one with a light.

Purple sounds cool....:)

They do make the Joye 510 with no LED, but not everyone carries them in stock.

You could always get a Janty Stick:

I started out vaping a cigarette-looking e-cig and I continue to do so. I can't believe so many worry about the size, the light, the vapor, whatever. I don't vape where I couldn't smoke unless I know the owner of the business or have discussed it with him/her. As someone else has noted in these forums, most people they meet have never even heard of e-cigs, much less seen one or had one explained to them. The more we hide these life savers, the longer it will be before they are understood and accepted.

Shape isn't as much of a problem as vapor - if it's that dim, they can't see the shape anyway.... The problem is smokers seeing the vapor and then lighting up. Small businesses can't take the legal hit if a smoker lights up. The cigarette nazis have closed businesses in Toledo by narc'ing on some businesses.

What has to happen is for enlightened businesses post a very visible sign or have cards to pass out to customers that says something - 'do you think you see smoke?' It's not. While smoking is still prohibited in this establishment by law (or whatever), we have decided to allow people to use personal vaporizers that produce vapor which is not smoke and is not even a tobacco product. If you are a smoker, you will still have to go outside and if you are interested in learning about the personal vaporizers/ecigarettes contact .... ' etc.

Or something like that :)

What am I doing wrong? my ecigs produce virtually no vapor, and certainly not something you could see in nighttime bar conditions.

Pretty sure it has been suggested... ;-) But I've suggested it to local coffee shops. So far no takers. But I still ask.

Why don't you ask them to ban frothed milk and hot coffee that steams given it's the same stuff?

All of this is about malice towards smokers and former smokers. If it were any other group, gays for example. If they banned buttless chaps, you know who it would be directed at, yet it's fine to pick on smokers.

If you have a 510, 901, or 801 then you're doing something wrong. I'd need more info. If you have a supermini - it's the nature of the beast - best to take slow long draws like drinking a thick milkshake thru a straw and hope that the cutoff doesn't kill a good vape.

I have a 510 but haven't tried it too much. I"m gonna let it charge a lot and try a new catridge. I've been using my vapor king, the plug in bypass or whatever, and it's not bad, but I imagine if were drinking a beer, it would not be enough. I've ordered some stronger cartomizers for it, but when I smoke analog cigarettes, I'm an ultra light smoker.
