I currently use Volt X2 batteries (3.6v regulated, not the VV/spinner types) with cartomizers (usually smok Tech 2.0 ohm)
Because my X2's seem to keep dying on me, i'm going to switch to something else that is less expensive, and if I'm lucky, will hold up better. I definitely want to stick to an eGo style battery because I don't want anything bigger. And I'm not really interested in variable voltage. I prefer my vaping to be a simple as possible.
I would also like to move away from cartomizers because I'm tired of having to worry about overfilling or letting them go dry and burning. I've tried two clearos and while I liked being able to see the amount of liquid and not worry about constant topping off, I wasn't happy with the performance of either.
Volt X2 Clearomizer - The problem with this one was lots of what seemed like semi dry hits, with a slightly burnt taste.
Volt Aspire T3 BDC - No problem with dry hits, but the flavor was muted and there was no warmth to the vapor at all. With each puff, I wasn't sure I was getting vapor until exhaling.
So I'm looking for help with two things.
First, any suggestions on a less expensive alternative to the X2 batteries? I'm thinking about the Kanger's. They are cheaper and I've heard good things about their reliability.
Second, any suggestions for a clearo/tank type system that is easy to use, and will work well with a 3.7v eGo type battery?
