Gone AWOL
Once I purchased one yes. Maybe it's just me,but I don't think that I should go and have to search the size of the battery and then try to guess what size the pv is. To me it a spec that should be included. For some size is a deal breaker. I am one of those people, I am a woman, and have very small hands. I am outside a lot in what can be very low temp's ( we hit -40C every year, and sometimes for a long time). Size helps determine what is workable for a person.

Maybe I'm wrong, the industry I work in this always a concern. I just found it frustrating to look at so many, and not see a width x length dimention. It actually pushed me towards a provari.

I agree with this. I've never specifically checked product listings on Gotvapes for size specs, but as a general rule it could be a deal breaker for me. If I'm spending $50+ on an item I want to know the size and have the best idea possible of what I'm getting, not guessing. This is one area where Gotvapes pics are great. Maybe they could somehow incorporate something for size comparison in some of the pics?

It's not just their website, I have issues with other retailers as well. I buy most of my juice from esmoker (because it's hard to find 30ml High Caliber Cappuccino) and their site is even more difficult than GV. I've personally learned to live with it since I like their products and service. Lowe's site makes me stabbier than any other, you have to wade through lots of crap if you're trying to find something specific that isn't a common item.

you dont have to research the size of the battery......if its a 18650 thats a big/longer pv ..if its a 18350 its a small/shorter pv...research is trying to figure out that provari single button menu..lol

I could be wrong but I think the majority of vendors arrange their web sites less for the public and more for themselves and never really view their site as an advertisement the way a web designer does. Its no different than a grocery store where the public is studied and things laid to pull them in to buy and not for the convenience of the aisle stockers. Web designers study the public the same way and the number one rule is "no clutter." Also, I've gotten the impression from vendor sites that they see themselves as only catering to experienced vapers and never think about how overwhelming things are for a noob or at least don't seem to want noob business. If they saw their site in terms of advertising, they would be catering more to the noob to create a solid customer base. Instead of in-depth descriptions of products, they seem to depend on the noob contacting them. I doubt many do and instead just look around for a vendor who does explain on their site or go looking for places like this. While I'm glad we are here as a resource, its is kinda sad when you think about it. I can't think of another industry where this kind of thing happens.

I've been striking out finding what I need at one, two or three sites and will have to place orders at 5 of them. That sucks so I've been reading up here on why... without going into that, it seems an historic problem and perhaps that's why vendors don't have well laid out sites nor good descriptions. They don't carry what's needed to go along with this or that product. Just a possibility. I can't even seem to find batteries and cartomizers for the mod I want on just two sites and will have to go to three of them just for that.

i like the site and the pics/videos but honestly i mainly only check the new section and the alpha :p

id say that a major easy improvement would be to put attys and batteries in their own categories.
that should take care of a lot of the complaints i have seen.

my own :2c: would be to incorporate some products in the same page... like instead of having a product page for both chrome and SS just make it an option on the page. i believe i made that mistake once before...

you stay classy San Diego

I actually often have a hard time navigating the GV site also...

Since I am on pins and needles waiting for the CVI to drop I've been to the site every day the past week or so. At this point I have figured out where to look I think but it took some figuring. I originally looked for a category like "Advanced PV's" or "mods". The closest thing I could find was "Got Vapes Advanced". So I tried that, but that seems to be all the tanks that aren't listed in the "Got Vapes Tanks" category.

After not knowing where to look next I just started down the list. I think I have found all the mods together under "GV e-Cigarette Kits & Batteries" which seemed like a wierd grouping to me. I guess when I see kits I'm thinking cig-a-like kits for newbies.

Now I think I have figured out what I'm looking for and where to look, but it's definately a little awkward. I used to get overwhelmed by the branding a long time ago, but it doesn't seem to be as bad anymore. I think bottom line is that it is just setup quite differently than alot of other sites. Good or bad, idk...

I did try to find the evic short tubes earlier after seeing someone post pics of them interchanging with the CVI but I was unable to find them. No idea where to look.

If you are waiting for a new item to drop, the BEST place to watch.....under specials and 3rd link from the bottom of the products listing (also my absolute FAVORITE link) "New Products" :D I check it just about every day to see what may have dropped overnight or even just before I go to bed ;)

at the bottom of the catagories on the left list is one that says "New Products". if your waiting for something new this is where to keep ckecking. when it hits the site for the first time it shows up at the top of the page in this list. when chris is anouncing new stuff i want to check out this is where i go because it lists the products in the order they were added to the site with the newest at the top and going down from there.

ADDED: OH thanks keela i didnt see you alread said that - apparently my new posts link didnt actually put me in the right place this time and i missed a couple posts and was half asleap and didnt realize it ;)

I'm late to the party but here's my 2 cents:

When I first went to GV's website, I was thoroughly confused, but I learned to navigate it, and have no problems with it. I think it may be a bit confusing for new people, but if you persist, I think the menu system makes sense in the end. Now I only use one link, unless I want something specific, and that's the new products link :). I think I've scoured the entire website so I know what they already have, so I just want to see what's new.

The menu on the left: maybe combine the Flux and Liqua into one "e-juice" category, so you can open up another slot to give you more breathing room? Unless you are trying to point out that you carry those two e-juices.

Also, I use the favorites to keep of track of things I may want in the future, so maybe make that link more prominent? Unless no one else does that.

Otherwise, can you put New Products way at the top in 64pixel font size, make the color fuchsia and make it blink for me? I think that would be a huge improvement. I really like that link. :D

The gotvapes website is a bit cluttered but I wouldn't say it is awful. One suggestion to help people find their way around is to provide a Site Map, where customers can find links to every page on the website. Many websites provide Site Maps so there are plenty of examples out there.

We do actually have a Site Map...its always been there in the footer (thats usualy where you find most site maps) and yes, that can be a very very handy way to do a quick scan as it is formatted with easily distinguishable indentations for each areas' products.

So I agree at times, the browse feature may seem to be too much, but thats if you are looking for specifics and dont know once you click one link, it will take you to a broken down section of the main.

Other then that, there is a search function (which works great)

I placed my 1st order thru gotvapes and had no issues navigating the site.

I think most of complaints are just cause either A) people want everything broken down or B) cause they read negative reviews and want to troll.

Oh well.. just my opinion.. it doesnt matter cause i'm a newb :p

Here, there, everywhere!
I think the last thing I was looking for was a charger for a spinner. Of course there is no link on the home page for chargers. If you search for charger, you get a bunch of stuff that isn't chargers. If you search for ego charger, you get a bunch of stuff that aren't chargers. If you search for spinner charger you get a bunch of stuff that aren't chargers.

Most places you have links to common items you may be looking for. Clicking the link takes you to several choices in that category.

It appears to me when you type in a word such as CE4 or charger it is not just checking the subject line - it is finding all places on the site that have the word in the description.
A lot of the time on many websites I search and then sort by price low to high in the case of a charger, etc, etc.

So if you want a stardust drip tip, type in stardust then sort by price, low to high, and there they are - the tips especially designed for the stardust.

Just my :2c:
