Waiting is the worst bit. I check the tracking very few hours and torture myself. Postal service tracking is close to useless anyway. Join Lars' recipe site while you are waiting, you might get a few more ideas.

I dont even have full tracking, so I`m praying that while I wait my package is on his way and not getting raped or .....slaped somewhere, and not mentioning that the distance it has to travel is 13415 KM and 232 meters :))))

As for the recipe I dont have RY4 nor my regular vendor has it and to order it from other site it will take forever :(

I have: Vanilla, Coconut, Oba oba, Black fire, Virginia, Hypnotic mist, Banana, Jamaica Rum, Caramel, Almond, MTS vape wizard and I`m pretty sure I forgot some. Btw, all of the above are FA.

Maybe u have a sugestion on how to blend these coz I don`t dont. It just doesn`t work for me. My mixes are too strong, or too weak or total garbage... The flavours on their own are mediocre for my taste so I wanted to try something that... u know, is not, but failed and failed and then failed some more.

But I wont stop, and as soon as I get my TPA flavours: IT`S ON! :D

Thanks for the drop method PDF. I had not seen it before, printed it out. Should make finding the right % of flavors for your taste easier. I even find different flavors from the same source have different %'s for my taste buds. Should only need to do the test once for each flavor & then you got it.. Sweet!

Drops are different, but, ml's(flavors) about the same??? Something seems off. I'll try to convert using ejuicemeup sometime later!

That recipe is for a 30ML mix, so yea, instead of measuring in drops, tea cups or milk glassed u can actually take a syringe mesure out the ML`s and there you have it :D The drops measuring sistem is for when you want to just test it, and do the 20 drops test then if u like what you`ve found and want to scale up your recipe you need to know about how many drops equals a ML ( so u can scale it up :D)

Edit: I just read this and laughed :))

Liq Vanilla Bourbon: I thought I would really like this one, and it was nice on the first 20 drop test - I could taste the bourbon...I wish the bourbon was a bit stronger as it would work very well in here - might have to get some of the PA Bourbon and see if I can make that work in here as well. Next order I think.

You do know that "Bourbon Vanilla" is a name for a type of vanilla also known as Madagascar Vanilla. It gets its name from the island Réunion, which used to be called Île Bourbon.

There is no actual bourbon flavor in your bottle of vanilla other than possibly residual alcohol from the extraction process.

When you're ready, the amended 30ml recipe is here: Light Tobacco 30ml 16mg 66/34 by fabricator4 - e-Liquid Calculator on Lars' recipe site.

I've now been vaping this almost non-stop for 24 hours and it's standing up very well indeed. The vanilla and coffee notes are smoothing out quickly and the flavour is getting even more complex but smooth. I think there's a lot to be said for the softly, softly, approach to adjunct flavourings. It tasted good in the CE4, It tasted very good in the Vivi's, and it is bloody marvelous in the Phoenix atty.

It seems to suit my mood no matter what. Sometimes I get a coffee note, sometimes the vanilla finish and spice, and sometimes it's just a plain tobacco when I want it to be. Thankfully, the dessert ship is steeping into the flavour nicely as I had been hoping, but it's where the complex but still light tobacco is coming from I think.

This is a first for me: a flavour that I'm just as excited about 24 hours later as I was when I had just mixed it.

Enough fun for a Sunday afternoon.

Actually, I think it looks OK, there's no obvious problems with it. The main differences are that your target nic% quite different, and your targe PG/VG ration is different. It's a great little juice calculator. I was using a spreadsheet to calculate juices because non of the on-line ones I found worked quite how I wanted them to. This one is spot on, and it does this kind of conversion extremely well. If you have the flavours to hand, go for it!

I'd love to hear what you think of it but I honestly don't know how the higher VG percentage and lower nic is going to affect the flavour.

Actually, that's almost the exact methodology I used to make my Light Tobacco ADV.

Thought so. I found flavors hard to sample after a few drags, but, same O same O I guess. I did the Job Aids to make it easier to keep track of where you were in the process as well as keeping notes.

I don't have those flavors, but, hopefully I will put something together some day. Been doing this for 8 months and still haven't got it yet.

ECF seems to be running very slow the last couple of days, for you too?

The job aids are a good idea. You hear of people getting distracted during mixing and ruining a large batch. I think I've found my way to not mess things up: I lined up all the bottles in the order that I wanted to add them. Referring to the recipe, I processed each one in turn and when it was done put the bottle back in the cupboard. That, and growling at anyone who tried to interrupt seemed to work out well :)

I don't have those flavors, but, hopefully I will put something together some day. Been doing this for 8 months and still haven't got it yet.

It can be frustrating when you think you've got a good idea but it doesn't work out. I'm still liking my vape after two days, but I started having trouble tasting it tonight and the tobacco flavour started to taste very strong. Not unpleasant, just very unexpected. Even vaping the single flavour strong black coffee didn't clear my palate and it normally does the job.

I've switched to my smoky cherry cigar for a few hours, it's yummy in the Phoenix too.

Yes, I'm guessing it's a server bandwith problem. There must be lots of newcomers browsing the site or something. The worst is when it slows down to nothing when you hit the post button. Eventually it comes up with a warning message about leaving the page to which I click 'Yes, OK' and I then find it's posted the message twice with no way to delete the dupe. Hopefully they can fix the problems. As the foremost general PV forum group I think we're going to see greatly increased traffic over the next year.

And still happy with it...

I had a chat to my supplier today, and while I was going to hold off buying new flavours and tanks etc until next month I'm thinking that I may have to place an order tonight! Hmm, too many flavours, so little time.

I think it's time I tried a carto tank, and I need to replace my mini vivi nova because I stuffed up and cross threaded the cap, and there's a list of flavours I want to try. I think I'll get the TPA bourbon (Bourbon & Cola?), some more tobacco flavours, maybe try yet another coffee to see if there's one I can live with anywhere on the planet. Might get some fruits too, but while I love the idea in theory I haven't had much success with them. Some thinner wick would be good, and they have a DID clone that might be worth a look, and a dual tank clearo. Oh, my poor bank balance. I've got the juice down to about $2.60 per week with DIY, but there's too many other things that I just have to try out. The banner below says I've saved myself from buying $290 worth of tobacco, but I haven't actually saved any of it yet.

Well, I convinced myself I could taste bourbon

Thanks for that, the flavour really is called "Vanilla Bourbon" and not "Bourbon Vanilla" so it had me fooled but I think you are correct. Now I've got to go and buy a proper bourbon flavour!

Edit: Or just try vaping real bourbon. I'm thinking it should be perfectly safe: Water soluble flavouring, and the alcohol content is really too small to be a problem.

!@#$%^!

I've run out of bottles! How could I have run out of mixing bottles? I'm going to have to order a few dozen of the things, obviously.

Ditto... I always have one T3 filled with just the "base". This way I can clear my pallet if you will. Also this gives my testing T3 a break so it doesn't over heat. Some times I'll have 2 test flavors + "base" just to keep the buds working.

wow, wow, wow, wow =)) Hold your horses, as u said, too many flavours so little time :))) As for the saved money... lol, I spent more on these than I would have if I kept smoking. It has become a hobby of some sort, and I just can stooop :D

Edit: Can I like my own post? :p

Dude. Seriously STOP!! U gonna get hurt =)) Kidding. Here-s what I do when I run out of test bottles: I throw out the nasty mixes, wash them thorrowly with COLD water until they smell like a plastic bottle. Then I force rolled toilet paper in until it-s dry and voila, new bottle :D This usually takes around 15 min / 10 bottles so well spent 15 min :D

I don't have 10 bottles I can wash, but I will by Friday! :) I do have some expensive juices bought before I started DIY that I could throw away, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Those things are going to get one more go round in the Pheonix atty and see if I can't salvage some of them. Some are tobacco flavours that I thought were OK at the start, and at least one was a repeat order.

A man`s gonna do what man gonna do! I threw away some of my juices, I mean I threw away some of my money :( That is part of the reason I got into DIY. At least I`m gonna screw the juices myslef and not have to pay a ton of money for already screwed juices :D
