Well I no longer use Blu but I once did & I liked it for certain situations. I think the area where I would feel uncomfortable would be in regard to vaping THEIR eliquid. I just wouldn't be able to get past the feeling that they might be putting some extra ingredients in there to make it more tantalizing (and not in a good way). So in that respect I wouldn't feel very comfortable giving them my money for a tobacco product. I just couldn't trust them.

My first ecig was Blu, the disposable. Loved the flavor, bought the rechargeable & instantly gave it away, such junk. Loved that Blu flavor so I ordered from Johnson Creek & I still vape Tennessee Cured time to time. I call it the "Marlboro Light effect." My first cig -- ML, my last, ML. Now I'm sitting here, 3 mos later with a DNA 30 running a Stillare .4 ohm. It all started with a Blu & I am so glad I found that e cig @ my local gas station!!! Otherwise, it would be "2 packs of Marlboro Lights please" every other day, as it had always been.

I think its great really! Think about it like this. A new vaper goes out and buys a Blu and thinks to him/herself "wow this is really great, I think I like this". As some time goes on they have totally quit smoking Newports and made the switch to the Blu, but they start to wonder if there is more vapor and flavor to be had. They hop onto the internet and come across, say, ECF Forum and learn about this whole big world that is vaping and decide they want some sub-ohm vape clouds of there own. They buy an ego kit and slowly move along until they are rocking a .2 coil in a mephisto on an authentic panzer blowing huge clouds and making youtube videos to try and get others like themselves to do the same. So now in turn lorilard (company that makes blu and newport) has taken a customer who would have probably been with them for life and turned them out on vaping and because of that will more than likely never see another dime of there money.
I love it, BT is in effect opening the doors to there customers and escorting them right out. :D

BT has no interest in marketing GREAT non-tobacco products, no intention of REVOLUTIONIZING the
e-cigarette industry.

They WANT the e-cigarette experience to be demonstrably irritating in use, and bad tasting!
Which, I humbly submit, their products definitely are.

They have the CAPITOL, INFLUENCE, and RESOURCES to convince the uninitiated (millions of smokers), that, in fact "ecigs are crappy, troublesome, and expensive - so why bother." (This would also work with curious non smokers [see Kids]).

That is the genius of BT marketing - Come hell or high water - never, never abandon the successful product that you have strategically and chemically developed over decades.

When you're that BIG, all you have to do is play your cards and wait - time is on your side.

My first vaping experience was also a cig-a-like....about 3 years ago. Used it for 2 days and tossed it aside like the worthless (and pricey) piece of junk it was. Unfortunately I was unaware of any better products and would have been highly reluctant to invest more of my money (and hopes) in another e-cig of any type anyway. Lucky for me a family member was not so jaded and spent the money on a basic ego and let me try it and experience the difference.
While I agree that it is better people quit by whatever means/product that they can...I would prefer none of them be subjected to the inferior products that BT are currently pushing.

Actually, what angers me is those cheap blister-packs & junk juice sold at "cigarette outlet" type of stores. Your Criss Cross & Buck Naked products. (Big tobacco) When someone tries a cigalike, they can tell it's not the same as the "kind with the juice" but I have fought to get so many people to try vaping & they say "I tried that and hated it" -- and sometimes, they have spent good money on this junk equipment. There is a cigarette shop near me, they have a Criss Cross tasting station (however, CC Red tobacco isn't that bad) & about 15 other brands of junk juice that would turn anyone off vaping.
