Finally after 30 days sitting at Russian Post I got some movement:

2 17.06.2013 13:22:00 Arrived at the place of the international exchange. 104002, Moscow PCI-2

Now probably another 2-3 weeks but at least it moved.

OMG in 1 day it looks like it cleared customs: Customs clearance is completed, 138, Released customs, 104002 Moscow PCI-2

Im still getting a burnt taste. Ohms at .7 is this why?? Also if i tear it down and clean it. Build a coil again, wil i damage the kayfun if i do a dry burn to adjust any hot spots?
I am using 1/16th ceramic right now, one single piece, 4 wraps of 30 awg kanthal. Comes in at 1.5 ohms. Vapes great at 3.5 watts. Laid in the 's' shape.
My last build was with ecowool I have all sizes now but started out with the 1mm stuff. I made the double loop method, I trim my wick so that it reaches the top of the chamber. Pulled the loops until they were in the right place then trimmed off the long ends. Then I add some eliquid to it all and gently nudge the loops down to reach the bottom of the chamber. Add more juice and then test burn. If all is good I close her up and fill through the fill hole. (I have never had any problems with the fill hole)
If I get a slow starter I will cover the air hole and do a quick suck....this pulls the juice into the chamber. Once you vape it a while it will keep filling itself.
I don't find any benefit to ultra low ohm coils with a silica build to be honest. I vape fruits mostly. 11 watts is about the highest I will go on silica. Stainless steel is another ball of wax, I will vape ss at much higher wattage due to the heatsink effect.
The flavor that I get from the Kayfun is outstanding. As I am drawing the white peach flavor collects under my tongue and is yummy. I have just about every rebuild able out there but the Kayfun is the best on flavor.
It won't hurt to do a dry burn but you will have to empty the tank first. I would try the primer suck first though as silica does swell when wet.

I just bought a kayfun a few days ago im new to rebuilding and at first i flooded my tank a few times but why do i run thru juice like theirs no tomorrow a full tank only last me like an hour or 2 vaping 24/7

When you fill, are you using the fill hole? And if so, turning upside-down? Could be your juice too...what's in there?

sounds like success to me... heheh. I have a .5 ohm coil on mine and yeah the juice just disappears.

Its a little too hot imo, so i'm gonna aim for 1.0+ ohms....

Do you guys torch your wicks? If you do, do you torch it prior to wrapping the coil or with the coil?

Using ekowool, I torch the hell out of the wick ends to prevent freying. When build is complete I clip the torched ends down. I do quickly torch the entire wick quickly as I am a believer that the wick holds up longer, wicks better and heeps its shape longer.
Silica def should be torched and blown off to rid of the small fibres that will come off in juice.

i havent made up my mind yet about what ohms to go with silica/xc/eko etc... i think it depends on a bunch of factors... some ways super low is great; i.e. double coils (1.0 +1.0 = .5) are great imo.

After a quick torch with a regular lighter, I have noticed that the wick feels a bit harder (not as soft) to the touch. Is that normal or am I just imagining things? Also, parts of the wick blackened and when I tried to wipe it with my fingers, it transferred to my fingers, which does not seem like a look thing to have on the wick. What am I doing wrong?

m afraid that if i shove em down it'll block the channels for the juice..
Do not force them all the way down. Pull them up, screw in the chimney cylinder and then tack them in to the sides so that they lay below the inner thread.

What lenght of wick do u guys cut for kayfun?
3 inches.
