You guys have issues with losing connection due to a loose part in the base? I had that happen and it had me all confused. Honestly, it makes me feel a little less proud to own this thing. My KFL worked for months and months, and still works, and all I had to do was change the coil. That's it. This K4 is a whole different beast and literally stopped working after about a week. Its nice, but stuff comes loose. Might have to use Loctite.
I think they may have bit off more than they can chew design wise. Its just about too complicated to work reliably.
Are you referring to UC counter screw (A9)? It happen to me once or twice which i suspect cause by open & closing Liquid Control repeatedly.
I've been using it a month and i find the spring & Liquid Control is the big problem. I build my coil at 1.5 ohm and every time I turn off or on the Liquid Control, my ohm jump 1.5 -1.7 ohm. While
vaping my ohm also jump 1.5-1.6 or 1.6-1.7.
Now even worst, every time I clean my k4 to change flavor / rewick, my Liquid Control become harder to turn. It's no longer smooth. It's feel's like the metal is grinding inside. I can see some dark stuff on the spring & inside which i think it was cause by the grinding. So I decide to change the o-ring and it went smooth again.
I bought Kayfun 4 spare kit 1 without the 2 & 3 then I realize something, the spare kit are incomplete. the spare kit 1 is short of 1 o-ring (17x1) for the A6. And the spare kit 2 is waste of money or rip off. The insulator A10 do wear off over time (mine already starting to wear off) but the UC counter nut, you don't need to replace it unless you lost it. They should have include the A10 insulator in the spare kit 1 and swap the Air Regulation Screw (B13) & Build Screw (B21-24) in the spare kit 2.
I also experience leaking from
tank's bottom o-ring recently. Since I've already bought the spare kit 1 so might as well change the
tank o-ring and see what happen.
