lol, totally true though, right? It almost makes me think that this is a major downside to such a beefy connection. A 510 is a weak link with lots of wobble and tends to give when dropped, or might even break. But this thing? Forget it. Nothing gives until something important breaks, in this case it was the damn tube mod itself.

Regarding the issue of the bent top cap, I am thinking it just skipped a thread from being forced when dropped. Like he mentioned, a light tapping with perhaps a wooden spacer would be ideal to try and pop back in place. I wouldn't try it with a metal sheet though. Try a wooden spacer and tap it with a hammer gently IF that's how you want to try to fix it.

They may have some sort of fail-safe built into their design. I'd probably contact Provape before attempting any kind of repair. I'm more surprised that one of the many weak connections within the K4 didn't give before the Provari flexed. But again, Maybe they're supposed to do that because of the (somewhat) stronger P3 connection

Oh, I see what you meant now. Well, it's just like vaping. There are some enthusiasts and collectors that go somewhat overboard. To each his own.

What can I say, we like our guns here.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

I didn't mention what i discovered this morning.
Saw my k4 was sitting wonky. Wasn't straight. After tinkering around found my p3 is bent at the top. The top plate isn't sitting straight because of the top.

Please can any one advise what to do before i damage it further by me attempting to fix it?

Can anyone notice the 1mm gap?
This the other side which is fine:

I am absolutely sure that provape will make it right for you at no cost. Only problem is that you have to send it back and be without for a while.

This is not official advice or anything...and if you decide that sending it in for proper repair to Provape would be too costly for your wallet or your watch, I can offer this...
As a mechanic, I would strongly advise against putting anything over the top cap, and striking it with a mallet or hammer...
I highly suggest you do the following:
1. Take the battery cap off, and battery out.
2. Take your Kayfun off.
3. Turn your P3 upside down, and place on a very hard, very flat surface...like the ground or a workbench.
4. Get a rubber mallet, or a "sand/lead filled" mallet. Either of which will take most of the force, and not damage the P3 when you strike it.
5. With medium force, tap the battery end of the P3, thus forcing the tube back down over the cap.

The reason for this is, if you hit the top, you risk shoving the chip down past the window and/or button, and further down the empty tube.
If you do it upside down as I described, the chip won't have very far to move, if it does at all.

Again, if sending it in for repair is too much… This will work for you.

Better method to be sure. I might add that putting something flat over the bottom (perhaps a 1" by piece of wood or similar) before hammering it with the mallet would be a worthy precaution so the force is spread across the bottom instead of chancing an off-square blow that crinkles the lip of the P3.

I'll email provape and see what they say first if they say it will cost etc or they won't fix it maybe try this method...they suggested to send it in anyway as i have a battery issue. Will email them tonight. Will keep you posted.

But the upside down method i was contemplating rather than the metal sheet thing tbh.

It's just press fit in the tube. Light tapping with a piece of wood will put it back in place. The board is attatched by wire and will not be affected by tapping it back in. It came ajar easily and will go back in easily.

Likely. But not necessarily. Depends on the damage.

Speaking only for myself, I would attempt to fix it myself. But I certainly would not tell anyone else what to do.

"every action has an equal and opposite reaction" -> Since it happened when it fell from your lap to the ground, I would throw it against the ceiling to make it right :D :D :D :D

Just trying to raise the moral here ;) It doesn't look that bad. Shouldn't be hard to fix (at home or sending it in).
Hahah ill try throwing it at the ceiling and let you know what happens!! Haha joke.

I'll email them and see what they say what is best.

If it's also having power problems I can't see any alternative to sending it in. Even if there is a charge it probably won't be a lot. Everything I've read says that their customer service is outstanding and their repair charges reasonable.

Well you're right. Outstanding service. Here's the reply:
I am sorry to hear this but I may have a fix for your top cap. There's unfortunately no assistance I can offer for the dings. :(

Stand the ProVari on a hard surface and put a flat piece of wood over the top cap. Then, use a hammer to tap the cap back into place. The piece of wood will protect it from getting dents. If you are uncomfortable with doing this, you can send it in and we will re-press the top cap in place for you. Just let me know if you'd like to do that.

They call it dents. I call it crinkles. Is crinkle a word?

Hey guys I'm back! Need to catch up on things and read some of these posts on the new k4. I will catch up but for those, like me, that have and love the regular kayfuns, is the 4 alot better? I'm going to be purchasing an authentic here soon, would of done it sooner but just been so busy at work, I haven't had time for anything.

The V4 is pretty darn good and all I have is a clone. Great vape, easy to build. I have run about 10 tanks through it and have yet to have a dry hit. Pretty good. The Tobeco clone is claimed to to be the best if you can't afford the real deal.
