That's how I wick the Xeta. Do a rough cut first then trim and fluff once the chimney is assembled. The cotton fluffs out to fill the squared off holes just fine if you take a little time and juice it well before it goes into the boro.
That's how i do it as well. I've tried just barely enough cotton up to way too much cotton and still get the same issue when the juice drops below the top of the wider part of the chamber/chimney. I think it has to do with vacuum pressure, today I tried drawing very slowly when it started to flood and that helped for a bit.

Great! Do you recommend them for MTL? [emoji4]

hmmmmm....not so much. I like restricted dl and that's how they are out of the box. There's a baggy with 3 reducers in it but to be honest, I have no idea what you'd do with them. I'm guessing you install them in the chimney, which I think is a bad way to restrict airflow. The VapeShell and the Xeta have better options for reducing airflow. Never liked the VapeShell very much, but the Xeta is about as good as they get.

Yes. I thought so when I first saw it. Guess I’ll know in a few hours.

That's interesting. I vape the Xeta wide open so I guess it's difficult to get a direct comparison.

Well, I gave the Flow V.2 a try and the results so far are not that great on the MTL front. Asbestos was right. It’s bad idea to have a large air inlet hole and then restrict the airflow at the chimney and claim this is MTL. The result is a draw that’s not that smooth or pleasant. So I switched to the bigger air insert; the middle one. It vaped better, but less than outstanding, with my 12 mg (MTL, remember). For MTL its performance is meh..I had next to me my freehand with a 1 ohm built Nuppin’ with the same juice. The results were clearly not in favor of the Flow V.2. I will continue experimenting with various builds and various airflow inserts.

On another side, initially it didn’t leak, except for the occasional condensation. But when it reached its lower 5th it turned into a sieve. Juice everywhere..it was crazy.

Happy New Year everybody!!

I came across a thread in Planet of the Vapes that provides a tutorial on how to seal the BB’s positive pin and screen against juice leaks.

In the original BB’s thread somebody told me it is meant for the SXK clone, since the OG comes completely sealed.

So I thought I’d ask the connoisseurs, is this a recurrent issue? Do I have to do it to my SXK BB when it gets here?

In my non-authoritative opinion, any configuration that doesn't restrict the airflow in the deck right under the coil is not proper mtl. Even restriction in the base, while better than in the chimney, is not the same.

I fully agree. Couldn’t have said it better [emoji4]

you really might like the Xeta. It comes with reducers that go right under the coil as well as reducers for the chimney. It's a better approach to mtl, but in my opinion, all of these newer bridges are designed for restricted direct lung inhale.

I have one in the mail. But for now the Vape Shell is fine. The 1.2 mm reducer gives me a good draw and great flavor.
