SXK Billet box...

My snail should be here in a few days,it's in Kentucky now,so probably have it Monday or so,but very interested in trying it out.I only got the basic one without the inserts though,and a spare tank section.I plan to order the Bridg'd and Krma as well,but i caved and bought the red SXK today,so those atty's will have to wait a while now haha.

Our tax refund arrived after 11 weeks lost in the system, it was a really big one because of various changes in our circumstances. So it's treat time.

Got my gold BB running with a nautilus coil and loving it. The Xeta is due to arrive on Tuesday. Now I can't decide whether to get the red BB, or a bag of assorted inserts. That red does look good. My favorite mod color.

I've been getting nervous about the Xeta after reading horror stories about clamps breaking. Could get a few spares but I want to wait and see if I like it.

I've seen a lot of talk about drip tip adaptors and so forth and I haven't been able to figure out what the deal is with that. Sometimes the talk here was hard to decipher when I first got on the thread. Now it mostly makes sense.

If your like me,and tax time is the easiest time to make bigger purchases,then i would go with the red mod now,all the inserts are fairly cheap,so i go with those as i can,since most are $20 or less vs. $100 plus for the mods.Gas City is running a sale this weekend too,so the mod is $102 and free shipping.
I was very set in my head that i was not going to get the red one,because back when i got a purple one,it looked like a deep purple in stock pictures,but what i got was like a medium lavender,definitely not like what was shown,so i didn't want to take that chance with the red.A guy on another forum recently got the red,and it is a very nice deep red,once i seen his pic,i then knew i had changed my mind.
The key with the Xeta,do not over tighten the screws in the posts.Just snug them enough to make sure the wire doesn't move.There is still no guarantee,but that's how i've done with the 3 i have,and have not had any break on me.
On the drip tips,yes they will take a 510 tip.That's the beauty of these mods,they have the nut that will hold a 510,or you can get threaded drip tips.The threaded ones just make things a bit easier when changing the tank out.Just unscrew 1 assembly with the threaded vs. taking out the drip tip and then unscrewing the nut.
Heres what the threaded type looks like,it just does away with the nut and makes everything 1 piece.

Just be aware that the 510 nut threads on the SXK clone are different than the authentic Billet Box so not all of the hybrid tips will fit. I am only aware of the JMK tips fitting both. I don't actually have any clones so I don't know if there are any hybrid tips made specifically for the SXK.

JMK definitely fits,i've had a few of them with no issues.I have heard,but can't confirm,that Konico tips fit also.SXK has cloned the Mission tips and another hybrid,i can't remember the name of that one,it's the one that has a black,clear,and ultem tips that screw onto the base.

2F has the. Sxk xeta listed twice, a dollar difference in price.... can’t “see” what the difference, if any there is??? I know it’s right under my nose lol. They also had sxk whistle tips and others. I want to grab a couple extra xetas, but a dollar is a dollar... rather get the cheaper one if they’re identical

Well I couldn't resist, not that I tried very hard. Got a red BB on the way from Canada. I really like the BB and just having one seemed dodgy. With the sale and the points I had with them it was quite cheap. Shipping was free as well. I think I paid shipping last time.

I was the same way haha.When the red came out,i told myself no i don't want a red one probably 10 times,but then when i had the money,i said no 1 more time as i finished checkout haha.
I had forgotten about the points until i got the email showing the points from this order,but now that gives me some more of a discount once SXK releases a new color in a few months or so.
I figure even with just the 10% off,it was still cheaper than ordering the mod from China,and will arrive much faster too,and yes i think the free shipping may be new,i looked at my last order with them,and i had paid $10 for shipping on that one,but it was free this time.

Took 7 days for this package. It was only in Canada for one day. It took the long route here... came in at ND, then MN, ILL, Miss, and finally here. Phew! It’s a nice red. Not too vivid. I have the vapeshell built and sitting on a tissue to make sure it’s not weepy before I give it a test run.

That was my biggest worry on it.I bought the purple one when it first came out,in the pics it looked like a nice deep purple,what i got was a lite lavender,so as long as the red one doesn't show up looking pink,i think it'll be ok haha.

Your purple had me worried what the red would look like too!! It’s quite crimson... darker than Ohio St red, and less yellow than Cubs red. Honestly, I could’ve put up with lavender, but I draw the line at pink lol.
I’ve got the vapeshell up and running. It’s ok, not as flavorful as the xeta. I’ll try another build tomorrow. At least it’s not leaky/weepy/oozy. (Yet). Not much coil room for sure

Shipping from China has been so hit or miss. I got one package Monday that shipped the beginning of March, then one yesterday from two weeks ago. Then there’s the February order of replacement rta glass that I’ve lost count how many security returns it’s had.
Because of that, I ordered the BBs, etc from Canada. Pretty close to the same price as China

I guess I lucked out. Mine came in through ND. The only ISC I’ve had process a package in a day!! Usually NYC and Chicago are bottlenecks for my packages. But, now I have one sitting in LA since the 14th. I dont order gear, just backup parts. Keeps my blood pressure down lol. I’m too impatient.
