I have an issue with my new Bantam Box Revision. hope someone here can help me because I absolutely love it. It’s perfect size for me and I love the vape it delivers. I vape at 7.5W with the Nautilus replacement 1.6 Ω coil.

Here is the problem. Out of the blue the screen says “check atomizer” and no vape. This happened once a few days ago and twice just now. Mind you the coil is fine…tightly screwed in. The first time this happened the battery was 3/4 used so I changed it. Today I noticed the battery is also at 3/4 used - could that be doing it? Instead of changing the battery I just pushed the button a couple times and so far that message hasn’t come back. Nothing in the so-called manual other than to check the atomizer when that message pops up.

Edit: I just took the tank out and discovered that there had been some juice leakage on the “floor”. Perhaps it had gone under the pin. I can see that causing the issue. After I screwed everything back in I stuffed a small piece of tissue on either side of the pin so if there is any more leakage it should be absorbed.

I must say I often lay the BB down assuming the tank gaskets work well.

It would be nice if SXK used conformal coating on their SEVO boards but they don't (protects against liquid damaging the board). Normally “check atomizer” means the connection is broken. But you did check for a connection problem.

Although I noticed when a SEVO board starts to go, it can start reporting "check atomizer" messages. But the board is near the top of the mod on the Bantam on the fire button side. Almost impossible to get juice in there. Although laying it on its side, might do it.

Needless to say I no longer lay it on its side. Although looking inside in the slot for the tank it doesn’t look like a few drops of juice could reach the other side. Hopefully it hasn’t.

BTW I think you said you also have the newer model of the supbox. Do you feel it’s worth the cost? Is it that good of a performer? I’m tempted.

You mean the Bantam? Yes I have the newer version. Although not worth it if you have the first version. Unless you want the boost feature. The Supbox, I only know of the first version. But I did recently purchase them.

Just clean the negative contact and the threads on the box and see if that helps. For some reason the aluminum gets this black gunk, I dont know what is called but I think thats what causes the error message...

I stop using mine because I couldn't find 18350s strong enough to enjoy it....After a few hits the battry low message would ruin the moment..

I take it, it wasn't the Bantam v2. As v2 comes with a fresh 18350 10A battery. Many vendors who has 18350 in stock, are probably very old stock.

Thanks. I haven’t had any more problems. The tissue absorbs any tiny amount of leakage so all is well.

Luckily because I vape at 7.2 to 7.3W my batteries last 1.5 to 2 days. It’s too bad you can’t enjoy yours.

I have the OG BB dino firmware that I can send to you in a PM tonight when I get home. I have no qualms about sharing themes or firmware. ;)
Hey, TrollDragon! I was wondering if by any chance that you might still have the OG software for escribe for the bb. I've been trying to find it online and I'm having a really hard time to be honest... If there would be any way I could get it from you I would be forever in your debt good sir! Thank you in advance and super appreciated!

Sorry the BB and all of it's associated files are long gone. Traded it for a pair of Meze headphones quite a while ago.

For anyone with a Bantam Box…unless Billetts have this feature too. On the Bantam I can choose flavor mode “soft”, “normal” or “hard”. Of course soft gives me the mildest flavor and hard the strongest. Currently I use “soft”.

My question has to do with what will help my battery life most…not that it’s bad. Level “soft” and higher wattage or higher level and lower wattage.
