I've been having a major cat hair problem lately, my 20 year old cat died and I got another one. Both long hairs but this one want to leave some of his everywhere.View attachment 821551
Aaaah, she/he's sweet. In my experience and that's around six cats though I haven't got one at the moment they all moult like crazy to lose some fur for the summer but there's always a bit coming off all the time. Have you tried brushing him/her....good luck

I was using the base of a Kanger Subtank that I had modified the positive pin on to accept the Subtank Mini rba to set up the modified BB Kanger rba head. That little adapter makes it much easier.
I am sure I have about 5-10 Subtank Mini's somewhere long ago forgotten.

Yes it is a problem. The vapeshell and exocet and insider have them but not the Kanger or aspire so pretty useful to have.

K n R vapour also do a conversion kit to turn the BB into a 510 but that looks like too much palaver to me and i'd never want to put another style atty on the BB as it kind of defeats the very purpose of it.

I saw that you had got rid of your BB so did you change your mind and keep it....I hope you did :D
I put it aside and filled a dispute with my credit card company to be able to not pay for it. More then likely I will be sending it back. Sometimes you get to keep things but I have deemed it 'unuser friendly'.
I do like them enough that I might buy an authentic one day. I think I have heard this gasket nonsense that I went through does not happen with the O.G

I would be using a slicker brush on this cutie. Also it is shedding season so unless someone helped her remove her winter coat you are dealing with her leaving it behind every time she moves. I swore off long haired cats for this reason

I searched your posts trying to find out more about the "gasket nonsense" but didn't see it, would you please explain in greater detail?

Whilst reading this page, my neglected STMs called out to me and said “buy a Bantam, you already have 20+ of the STM RBAs!”:D
Note that positive pin on the SXK supplied Kanger RBA head has a positive pin that extends about 3 mm farther. The collar for either the Subtank coil or SXK Subtank Mini RBA head will be required as well.
On some of my Subtank Mini RBA heads I removed the positive pin and build up the end with silver solder (a blob of solder on it's end).

I was looking at grabbing a Bantam from FT, $67.50 at the moment with the 10% code DAD, someone on the forum there claims another company is selling them for $51, does anyone know who that could be? ... Thanks.

Found it, just in case it's of interest to anyone else:
Hotecig-Premium Vape Store with Best Ecig Deals

$55.55 for a Bronze/gunmetal Bantam, using their mobile site with code HOTECIGMOBILE, there's a banner about it on their home page...

The black and silver are a little cheaper....

(I have never heard of them before so I have no idea how legit they are, use at your own risk)

That's a shame.... Unfortunately the gasket issue does happen on the OG I've read many a thread on it
One of the fixes I read was to thoroughly clean it and then soak it in hand hot water and then allow it to dry naturally.

Apparently once it's happened it tends to keep doing it and most people were saying it was best to start with a new boro or seal.... Makes sense I guess.

So i've been playing with my "love-to-hate" Boxxer tank again. This time round I fitted a flat wire 0.5ohm coil and made meticulously sure no cotton touches the deck or post screws. I also wrapped the teflon tape on the bottom and the sides.
I emptied one tank and found no more liquid than I usually find with all the other atties. That is good news to me, as this Boxxer makes for one bad ... vape. The airflow is perfect for me. The amount of flavor and vapour is on par with most of my RBAs. I fog up this double garage of mine in no time (to the wife's dismay).
Only downer is, I have to remove the tank and teflon tape every time I need to refill...the damn fill port just don't work.
I'm soooo glad I gave it a second chance.
I'll definitely be looking to get the V2 from somewhere in future.

So this is about the gasket that seals the glass in the Boro box then?

So earlier I put one of those Bantam ceramic coil in a box and tried it out. I'd say it worked pretty darn good at 13.5 watts especially if your in the MTL crowd........which I'm not.

That's good to know, I ordered one of those bridges and some coils from FT today....

In recent years I've been using Nautilus coils in a Plato, I love them, I get a couple of months out of the coils, but the Plato screen is dying which is why I bought the DNA60 SXK BB a while back, (preempting total failure of the Plato)...

The Nautilus coils don't seem to wick too well in the BB which is a bit of a disappointment, they vape well but I seem to end up burning coils every couple of weeks, it bugs me, I just cant get the same coil life I was getting in the Plato...

Now I've ordered a Bantam as well I'm committed to this form-factor, it would be good to find a sweet spot with them, fingers crossed for the SXK ceramic coils.... (I'm a low watt tight draw MTLer)

Yes i'm not MTL unless it's a really loose MTL/restricted DL. If I can achieve that then i'm happy. I've got some coming to try them out and if I don't like them i've got all my RBA's to choose from instead....

One things for sure to make the Bantam useable you need to be IMO above 0.8/0.9 ohm and be using a 10A 18350. You can go down to 0.5A with a good (10A) 18350 but it's not going to last any time at all to be useful.

With regard to the Boro gasket....they sometimes bunch up as you slide the glass in and once it happens its a PIA because it gets distorted. Never happened to me but the best thing to do is to keep some spare gaskets/boro/glass so that you can replace it :)

I'm running my Bantam with a 0.51 ohm coil, battery life seems reasonable.
Ya I use a magnifier when I slid the glass back up. It pretty easy to get the gasket out of place.
I've never had trouble with the gasket. I just push it up with two thumbs putting pressure on the bottom carefully. I don't think it's easy to do but some people are obviously doing something wrong :)

When you say reasonable life for your 18350 can you give that in actual hours please?

Because I charge mine at above half way by the batt icon that would be tough.
I'll charge it full and fill with juice and take it vape it down till it stops (or cries) and measure how much juice it takes to fill it back up. Hopefully I won't forget the plan.
