Did we watch the same bout?
And im not making 180m or 120m for my entertainment.
But do you have v1.5 of the firmware making the device 75W/150W?
Spot on! And they are trying to make up for it now.
I wasn't mentioning you. You actually did the smart and educated thing. Wanted an answer to conflicting statements and inquired. However, he only does HIS warranty work for the units he sells. Vapro does the warranty work for "unauthorized" dealers and each authorized dealer does/handles the warranty work for the units they sell.
regarding his reply.... no, the USB does NOT power the OUT to the atty...the battery does. But the USB is powering the battery while the battery is powering the atty. and that is what makes in dangerous. Think of pulling your car into the gas station. Do you leave your engine on while you fill up with gas or do you shut if off? You could be asking the battery to supply you with up to 20+ or 30+ A while there is power going into it.
Many of the batteries being sold today are just rewraps (efest) or fakes (most sonys) and you are essentially putting you own safety in them as you hit that fire button up to your face. So....dont take me advice if you do not want to and if you prefer to not listen to the manufacturer, i hope you are listening to someone with a very good insurance policy and umbrella.
He'll ya. I have had my mini for 2 days now and I'm using it more than my ipv4, lol. Amazing portability and good battery life. I have used it for 2 days and I'm at about 50-60% life left.Just a bit of non-controversial, OT, good news:
Been enjoying the SX Mini so much that I haven't had time to experiment with my Drippers. (Was actually considering buying an SOV 5K but asked myself, "Why are you not using what you already have?")
So, I built my Marquis: 8 wraps on each the included 4 mm rod, KGD, with the shortest legs possible. Steam-engine shows 0.09. The SX read 0.081, or thereabouts. Set to 410, then 400, and, last 370F at 50, then 45J.
WONDERFUL VAPE!

He doesn't have an online store does he? I'd love to get hold of some of those VTC5s.Gotcha. Actually i never intended to vape and chargex just was curious.
Ya I only use authentic vtc5 batteries in all my devices. I know they are authentic because I am friends with a local vape shop owner and he showed me the receipt of them directly from Sony, a while back before you couldn't get them anymore. He bought a huge stash before the event happened.

I am glad you think my credibility is in question. The difference here is I ONLY post facts that I am 100% sure of. You can jump all over me as much as you want to, but yet there is not ONE single bit of proof from YIHI that my claim is inaccurate.....as there WONT be as it is directly from yihi. You just want to be heard and have ZERO creditability to your statement. Descibing how you'd like the device to operate rather then how yihi states the device operates.
Thanks for posting that. I have a Marquis coming from a friend and may try nickel in it.Just a bit of non-controversial, OT, good news:

Does he give a Veteran's discount?.......He does not, but if you're willing to trust me I can pick some up and ship them. He charges $15.99 +tax
Idk and prob couldn't get one since I'm not one, but thank you for your service. I was between 50-60% left on my first battery ever and the bottom left is reading 15,128.3JDoes he give a Veteran's discount?.......Just kiddin but stores here do. How many joules are you getting from a charge?

That's an excellent idea. I was wondering yesterday if Yihi had a change log for bug fixes etc.. that could be made public. Maybe add to papapro's list of questions for them. I did post a list of my cons several pages back that could be added to the list![]()
(4) A prompt by the device, when in Joules mode and it detects an atomizer disconnect, asking you if you'd like to set resistance (e.g., "Disconnect Detected. Set Resistance (Y/N)?")

Sony never sold/marketed the VTC5 for individual or public sale. It was strictly for OEM makers. They have NOT discontinued the manufacturing of this battery at all!!! One of their main production facilities needed to shutdown due to Fukushima, but they have replaced that factory with one in the Philippines. They are today manufacturing MORE VTC5’s then they ever have.
Oh no, please not THAT!
That is for me a feature. I can remove the atty, adjust or quickly fill, put back, and, I'm still in business. Can't begin to say how annoying that is on my other TC/TL/TP devices.
Okay just to make sure I understand, from the whole "bypass" debate.
1 - It is absolutely FINE to charge a battery with the device (one you are careful plugging in the USB)
2- It is not the best idea (or should not do it at all) to vape while it is being charged
Please confirm, as I plan to use this as my sole device for the next year
They are recommending to change batteries just because the experience on the S class were too many busted USBs. I use it when I'm sitting in front of the TV or in the car but other than that I change the Batteries
you can charge and vape so long as the battery has enough life in it. The USB does NOT power the OUT to the atty....the battery does"
