Interesting.... upgrading the chip? That cannot be done by USB updates....
i suspect its a language issue but does indicate there is a firmware upgrade coming very soon!!

Now all i have to do is buy a pc and ill be able to upgrade mine too...

I was thinking there might be an update coming soon so they were just flashing the chips while they were still at the factory to test them and make sure there are no bugs before releasing the update to everyone.

May be a language issue but on Yihi's web site all the downloads for updates plainly say "update"... no language issue there...

If it is just an update they haven't posted a download for it yet on their web site either...

This is getting really tiresome. I seem to remember you said you were done with it some time ago. I hoped sincerely that would be the case but apparently it is not. I would hope that you would be able to move on. I see you are an attorney. Several of the other folks who have commented on the subject are engineers. I think several of us would like to see the subject dropped. This is not an issue where ego should overcome logic. I hope that all of those involved can just agree to disagree and move on.

Dannyben can you do that?

If you can I expect that others will be able to also. At least I hope so.

LOL.... You point this towards me? There's how many thousands of post in this thread? Is it normal for people to ask each person who makes a post to PROVE what they posted with written proof?

And you say to drop it -- which Ive been trying to do. But then YOU YOURSELF continue to make posts about it!!!

Regardless. Ive stated the FACTS. You can believe what you want to. its not opinion nor mine. But continue to take jabs at me or attack my creditability and yes....after 5+ or more such posts, i will come back -- not attacking back, but posting the facts.

Legal niceties, good manners and psychic abilities to accurately intuit the intent of the sender aside, it is against ECF rules to post emails one receives from others. The most helpful place for YiHi's recommendations regarding vaping while charging via USB would be in their SX Mini M Class manual, in their SX Mini FAQ and/or as an addendum to their SX350J chip specs.

Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner. I thought that part about the ECF rules too was obvious so I left that out. But yes. As it is unethical and illegal to do so -- obviously ECF (and all forums for that matter) have this in their rules.

I am still not following the FAQ or specs. The device is not pass-through. Why would you want or they list anything to do with this in their FAQ? If the device was pass-through they would list that feature in their chip specs, device specs and features specs, as well as in their instruction manual. Its not a feature they offer so they do not list it anywhere.

There are many devices in the market that do not have pass-through. Do those manufacturers list a FAQ with a warning about that? Does Porsche list a warning in their manual not to put diesel fuel in their car? That it is dangerous to drip & drive?

I wonder what the statement about upgrading the chip is about.

LOL. Not your fault, but once again how untrue rumors get started. As well as listening to the wrong people/vendors will give you wrong information.

I've already posted the reasons for the delay. Which there is NONE for grey or rose (do those use a different non upgradable chip??? LOL) And no point repeating myself... especially since, according to some, I have no creditability.

I have a question. I got my 26awg NI200 and wrapped a coil last night. It seemed like well it did take a 1/2 a tank of juice to get it broken in so that it didn't have a funny taste. Here is what I want to know I almost like the 28awg at .09 better then the 26awg at .072 better. The 26 seems like a lot warmer vape. I have been trying to get it dialed in where I get the best flavor and right now I'm using it a 15J 390 degrees and it's pretty good. Hitting temp fast enough for me and holding 390 well but it is a warmer vape which I'm not sure I like. I should have wiped the wire with alcohol but thats water under the bridge it's gotten rid of the funny taste. What I was wondering is is that what you guys that are using the 26 finding. Seems to be a lot warmer vape and have to use a lower temp. My coil is 7 wraps 3mm using KGD with 28awg 7 wraps 3mm .09 I was using 18J at 410 and that was where it was the best to me. I know that there is an error in temp the further you are from .065 does this all sound right. Lower temp and J with it being closer to .065. Oh and I am using a Kanger STM and soft mode right now.

It shouldn't be warmer, but possibly slightly more accurate then the .09 build (as it is closer to the recommended build). And as you stated will hold better at the dialed in temp. It will also take slightly longer to heat up as it is a thicker wire.

Possibly what you are experiencing (what i have mentioned earlier) is that your 0.09 build (while still perfectly fine) is further away and the temp setting is not as accurate as the 0.072. Your 390 might possibly be 380 (0.09), while now it is 388 (0.072). Just find the temp you like best and set it at that. The important thing is that you find which gauge and amount of wraps is most consistent for you and gives you the best flavor/vape you enjoy.

So let me get this straight: Users are NOT supposed to "vape and charge", Yihi knows of this issue, yet they are still shipping out new devices that do Vape and charge simultaneously? OK, got it.

Once upon a time I liked this thread. Now it's full of arguments. This thread is no fun anymore.

I couldn't agree with you more @IanDVaypes and why I will not longer respond on this matter. But.... look at the idiotic posts.

People want to jump on me because well why not join the majority. but whats so ironic is there has been a list floating around for someone who is giving a bunch of questions/requests to yihi. If someone didint believe what i said, why not just ask to add it to the list? Why no spend even less time and negative energy and simply send a one line email to yihi (Or maybe they did & got the confirming response -- the same one that I got -- and are now just way too embarrassed to apologize).

Regardless..... yihi recommends you don't even plug the usb cord in to charge the device. That in itself says they don't recommend vaping while it is plugged in. Not even factoring in the added dangers.

I strongly recommend just dropping this. I have! If you want confirmation ask yihi. and lets bring this thread back to where us fans of this product can come to relax and enjoy talking about it.

good day all
anyone using a subtank mini with 29awg
looking for a good starting point if anyone would be so kind
I did with 6 wraps .09 it was great. That was tempered because stealth was out of 28 at the time. Oh that was at 3mm and I worked my way up to 410 18J that was my sweet spot.

hi guys.. not to beat a dead horse, but I just chk the user manual for my mini m..
it does say its workable in direct bypass mode(up to 85W), and chargable via usb.. and a diagram stating as so..

not to argue whether it is doable or not, but maybe, just maybe YiHi had a few versions of the user manual and somehow got them mixed up? that should probably explain why some users quoted the manual that the usb port is not recommended for charging?
