OK here is another question to keep us all on topic :w00t:
In the SXI control panel( were you do the upgrades), what is the setting tab for? It looks like you can adjust your setting from there, but I cant figure out how you do it. Anyone used it?
-Dirk

I tried but they would not change values for me

Think if they worked they would just set the starting values after upgrade on the SX

Mine after upgrade though wiped all the memory settings although it did retain the last temp/joule setting I was using

Join your voice to mine in requesting a visible charge indicator on the M Class that is more than the little symbol on the battery indicator. If you use the USB charge at all, it is an essential indicator. I would like to see a progress indicator and a "charge complete" indication. You shouldn't have to unplug the USB just to see of the battery is fully charged.

The usb port is regarded by yihi to be used for upgrades only

It does work for charging ok I have used it myself

But the way they say its not for that purpose and has a lower warranty period of only 3 months

Would suggest it may be a weak point that could break and then prevent further updates

Use for charging at your risk my friend :)

Maybe we can talk about the atomizers being used to top the SX and their builds, whether it's Kanthal, Nichrome, titanium or nickel...style of build and what's working best for you with all the pertinent details, maybe with the focus on temp control builds since this feature is still in it's infancy and many users having little or no experience with this feature...just a thought.

I will be trying out the GEM rta soon on the SXM. I won it in the ECF contest. It looks like the perfect design for TC.

Very nice

I was only looking to see where I could source one from last night & got side tracked

Am off for another look :)
They will be released sometime between 15-20th on Mark Bugs site, a week later at retailers (most likely for more money too, those dirty swines [emoji14] )

There's only so much real estate on that screen.
If you do want a readout though and choose to (foolishly) use the USB port for charging, you can always and simply just switch to power mode and it will replace the temp reading with the voltage.

Hate to cut in on this DIY thread, but...

received my silicon case for my SX Mini m series, and so far really like it.

  • 100% Non-Toxic Silicone
  • Anti-Scratch
  • Anti-Dust
  • Scald-Preventing
  • Anti-Slip
  • Anti-Corrosion
  • Colors: Transparent, Black, White, Dark Blue, Tiffany Blue, Red, Grey, Orange, Purple, Pink, Green, Camouflage

Has a secure feel in your hand, soft and smooth silicone that's not sticky... I've been babying my SX, trying to make sure I didn't scratch or nick it, and right now, it still looks like new, although it's about six weeks old. Glad I don't have to be quite as gentle any more!

Ginger Vapes has 'em for under ten bucks!

Looks nice in the white. May have to pick one up to go with my black.

I have yet to update my firmware, I'll need to get to someone with a PC, Mac platform is a no go at this point...I was wondering about the gravity sensor lock, I read elsewhere it was hit or miss on this feature, any experience comments on this new feature are appreciated.

Use virtual box... It's freeware for the Mac and you can run windows xp

Thanks pharm, appreciate the tip...are you running 2.2 on yours and if so how's the gravity lock treating, providing you've used it of course.
Yup 2.2 full speed ahead... Gravity lock works perfectly and thankfully so... I thought it was as superfluous as the IPv2 touch sensor

It works, but I enjoy the one handed operation with the gravity sensor so I will never turn it off. Been using it for about 2 months now and find it a very useful for me. Others prefer not to use it at all.

I like the gravity sensor too. The M class buttons are a little stiff for pushing with the pad of fingertips so I end up having to use the fingernail often. (That's a good thing compared to the previous S class buttons which had softer press) and used to screw things up for me just from being touched during normal use)
