I think my parents are going to get me one for a vapeversary gift :). I'm very surprised as they have not been supportive, but also very happy.
Nice! everyone I know hates vaping but such is life, they could of got you a Hotcig SX hero you sure love those ;)
Because it's cool :)

Besides, do you prefer the chip doing everything for you and the day you have a problem, you can't adjust anything because the chip makes all decisions (tight and wrong) for you?

hey guys,

we are having a discussion with a friend in local forum.

We'd like to confirm

when operating in joule mode TC enabled with nickel,

if you replace nickel atty with kanthal atty (without changing any setting)

we wonder can m class switches to the power mode or keep working in joule mode without temp control like dna ?

what happens exactly?

Well, I love my sx zero/hero that hasn't set on fire  Not like I love my sx mini though, but the sx300 chips are accurate and work well.

However, I won't be buying another Hot Cig product, as apparently some live up to their name.

I have a Rose/silver on its way :toast: And, hey, at least they bought the right product. I was a little worried an ipv mini might show up. Not that I wouldn't be happy with any gift, but its not quite the same ;)

Do you think that board could be fit into a hana enclosure and enlarge the screen cut out or something?

I really like the sx mini but something with 72mm height would be even more interesting ;)

Right behind you...
The really need to make an SX-350J "Micro" with a 0.69" display to fit in all those Evolv-ready housings. I'd buy three today if they made them. :)

Seriously. They could still fit all the info on a 96x16 display with the use of some abbreviations (S, N, P, P+, for instance). Would require slightly different firmware to accommodate that, but I think there's a big untapped market of folks with DNA30/40 mods that would love to slip a Yihi inside, and mod builders that would love to just use one housing setup and let the customer choose Yihi or Evolv.

Oh, and:

Got my m class this morning. Didn't have time to try my first nickel build, so just threw on my Lemo off my Cloupor T6 (first mod).

I like the form factor of the SX (really small), and the way the atomizer fits onto it. It's a lot easier to prime by blocking the holes since there's that little extra space for your fingers to wrap around.

I'm used to seeing the battery as a %, which I kind of like more. Haven't killed the first battery yet, but it's a bit strange -- feel more unsure than with the Cloupor T6.

Since I am using a kanthal build, I'm finding it really weird there's no relative temperature reading. The Cloupor gives me a temperature, I believe at the 510 port. So I know when I hit 38 degrees on it, I need to slow down/take a break. On the SX there's no relative reading, so I just keep going. The only way to tell really is if I touch the atomizer and try to see how hot it is. This is not the ideal way to do this. I guess with TC it wouldn't matter, but for a kathal build I'd use the T6 over the m class unless I'm missing something.

The bottom edge of the SX is pretty sharp. I read they rounded off some corners from the original, but with my medium hand size, the bottom digs in a bit.

Changing watts is a pain in the .... Not really sure how to get into the menu, think something like press 4 times, change temp, switch menu again, go to exit, click again. Kind of a pain. I guess it's mostly avoided with TC once you setup, but a real hassle going around so much menu to make a change. Really difficult to make quick changes.

So...hoping TC is all it's made up to be. It's a nice looking mod but sucks for kanthal builds imo. The T6 does everything better, easier, and faster, and lasts forever with the bigger battery (kanthal). Hopefully I won't have too much problems building a nickel wire. Can't wait to try TC today after work!

Edit: I like the firing modes but atm just using soft mode since I feel "in the dark", using a kanthal build.

You can use the buttons to adjust the wattage without going into the menu. The up button will scroll through the memory settings. Click it once to select your desired memory spot then click the down button the edit the wattage value. Fire saves the setting.
