Does insulated copper electric wire have different resistance when carryiing a DC current compared to bare copper wire? If so it goes against all the teachings of every electrical engineering school in the world.

Insulated = non-conductive = no flow of electrons = not part of the circuit = no increase in resistance

If you take nickle wire and wrap something like say ... nichrome ... around parts of the nickle wire. You will add resistance to the coil. Because again, the nichrome IS conductive but it will add increased resistance.

Really?

Of course. The bigger the circuit ... the more resistance, especially when you introduce less conductive materials into the circuit.

That's why resistance is measured in length ...
I would look up electricity 101 and read the resistance chapter paying especially attention to how to calculate the total resistance of a circuit with two differing resistors in parallel.

Well my first nickel build is in, after a bit of annoyance. The stuff is so soft...waiting for some hard nickel from the UK but ordered some of the soft stuff from the states first.

So I did 12 spaced wraps, 28 gauge ni200 on a 3mm screw, reading 0.21ohms. Set the temp to 390F.

The vape is a LOT warmer then I'm used to, actually nice but gets a bit hot over time. If I press and hold the fire button, it doesn't seem to go over 200F, why is that? Running it at 13J.

Flavor is really, really nice, initially. Somehow I'm not positive the TC is really working, it gets really hot after holding it down. Any help appreciated!

My atomizer really hot to the touch, but screen still showing only 200f on fire..

You are a master of diplomacy Tony. I have a hard time maintaining my composure. You seem to do it with great ease. I'm envious!

.... yes. I understand parallel resistors.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm stating frankly.

Anything with conductive resistance that is added to a circuit will increase the resistance of thus said circuit ... that's FACT.
Yes it will... In series, not in parallel which you were implying with build up gunk.

So once again, get your facts straight first.

I've just received mine today, is there a way to turn off the gyroscope? I think mine is faulty, if I go to change watts it goes up no matter what side I turn...... It never goes ddown... ... always rthe lucky one with faulty stuff

Sptz,

You don't have a fault I am very sure it is the unusual way the unit works. if you are holding like you normally would when reading the screen you would think you could just tilt it down on the left or right but noooo you kind of have to stand on your head.

I am not going to tell you how to get the scroll to work correctly because I am too inexperienced myself. I will leave that for someone that has it down pat. But when I was first setting mine up I experienced what you are seeing. I got it to work correctly but as embarrassing as this may be I was so anxious to get it going I didn't pay attention to what I did.

I just want you to know your unit is OK and some expert will jump in here and tell you exactly how to do it.

Are you holding it vertical or horizontal when your trying to use the gravity sensor? It should be vertical.

I am amazed with my first 24 hours with this SX Mini M class....I don't usually post more of a lurker on the forms but i have to include my 2 cents with this fantastic machine. I've been vaping since Jan 01 and started with a i stick 20/mini nati-mini to a smok m65 subtank mini/lemo drop to a Segieli mini 30 it seems like i have been chasing a vape. This SX mini is everything i have been looking for the past 90 days....this is my first TC mod and I received the SX last night from Varitube.com and 100ft 28ga Ni200 for $9 amazon prime and built my first NI200 coil on the Sub Tank Mini 10wraps 3.0mm read .154ohm wicked with some kgd and filed the tank with some 80 vg 20 pg Gush. Set the SX mini to Joules 33 420 degrees and let me tell you the best vape i have ever had! From the first puff untill the tank was completely empty( i dumped the tank over 0 liquid running out) every single puff was perfect!! Zero dry hits, zero popping of juice in the mouth nothing but flavor and clouds the whole tank! With my other vv mods when the liquid got low or you held at the wrong angle i would worry about dry hits and that nasty taste not with the SX Mini M Class this thing is so amazing to me every last drop is perfect....and the NI200 isnt too much harder to build with it just takes a little gentler touch thank the kanathal. If anyone is considering upgrading from any basic device what so ever i highly suggest you spend the extra money and buy the SX Mini M Class no matter how you vape or what tank you vape with i would buy this mod and not think twice! Worth every penny!

Are you holding the device like this to adjust?

Hate to intrude in the middle of the whizzing contest but WHERE ARE ALL THE SEXY BLACK AND ROSE color ones!? No site has them in stock! Are they sold out or have they not released them yet??

I have been pushed over the edge to have one of these - and the color I want isn't in stock! sigh...

Guess I could buy the silver/rose one and throw a wrap on it when I give it to hubby after they get the black/rose in stock!

Thank you Vlad1.

I sure didn't sptz to think his unit was malfunctioning. Please help him out there is nothing worse than a new toy that you think is belly-up.
