It's not that there is anything wrong with them I heard they are off a little on the temps but what the hell for that price. Just don't quite understand why Wismec quit making the DNA200. It was the only one that used 18650's. But from all that I have read and the reviews that I have read a lot of the DNA200's are not made very well either. Not the chip but the mod itself. Well there is one other that uses 18650's. GT how is it in Ti mode as far as temp setting and do you have control of the power as well when you set the temp or does it take charge of that. There is getting to be quite a few, I see Vapor Flask is making one too.

Legs,

If you are asking me how it performs I can't tell you. Per the USPS I am scheduled to get it tomorrow. I will let you know my first day experience with it.

As far as dna 200s go I have had 4 or 5 (can't remember exactly) units fail on me so which do you prefer the "Pan or the Fire".

By the way my $30 dollar Koopor Mini has never missed a lick. I know you can buy them now for $20 bucks. But you know how it is with us early adopters.

I have no problem with either of them in TC. In fact they both Vape prebuilt ni200 coils beautifully. Truth be told with prebuilt ni200 coils its real hard to tell the difference in Vape quality between the two. There I said it.

Right behind you...
Just don't quite understand why Wismec quit making the DNA200.

Where did you get the notion that Wismec has stopped making the DNA200 Reuleaux? They're having a hard time keeping up with demand because of Evolv's ability to produce enough boards but they haven't stopped production. They make serious bank on the DNA200 model, a HUGE profit margin (as evidenced by how cheaply they can sell the RX200 sans $50-or-$60-in-bulk DNA200 boards), and they'll keep making it.

The RX200 is an alternative that leverages the well-done chassis and Joyetech's economy of scale, a less complex but well-performing alternative that doesn't require a $170 investment (an investment in DNA200 features that many will never use). It's not a direct replacement for the DNA200 version.

What's tearing up my batteries? I'm extremely careful removing them because I know that's an issue with these mods. But careful isn't cutting it. Well actually, it's is.

If you're referring to the SXmini over-tightening the battery cap can tear up your battery wrap at the bottom of the battery especially if the battery is a bit long.

And Yihi makes serious bank on the ML also at 200 bucks per....an extra huge profit margin as they make their own boards.

Yeah, their profit margin has to be pretty huge on that one, I'd be seriously surprised if the cost of goods on that one is higher than $30.

Well if you figure that place was selling them off at cost at $99 that tells you something. I wish I would've got a couple more had my oldest one almost a year and never misses a beat. How about a Radius what do you suppose the profit is on that at $200
Wholesale cost is a lot different than cost of goods manufactured.

I'm sure Provape makes a tidy profit on that as well, but definitely less than what Yihi makes on a SX Mini. Provape is based in the US, things cost more to manufacture here.

There's a difference between Provape and YIHI. Provape is a manufacture selling at retail and YIHI is a manufacture selling at wholesale to retailers. My guess they're both making a good profit.

Yeah, that's true, but Provape also distributes to retailers. There is a shop about a half hour from me that carries Provape mods. But yeah, I would guess a majority of Provape's sales come from their own retail site (not sure if they have a physical store).

I forgot about the Provape retailers. It's odd Provape doesn't list them on their site anymore. I remember when the P3 came out Provape was trying to get people to purchase from retailers. I wonder what happen about that.

It may be a surprise to some but all these companies are in business to make a profit. Sometimes by flooding the market with as many devices as they can move at very cheap prices with lower profit margins and other times by selling less at higher profit margins. The intent in either case is they hope to make a profit. The ones that don't effectively make a profit cease to exist.

Vlad1,

Do you mean Henry Ford had it right sell them cheap enough that even the people that built them can afford one. OK just a little paraphrasing.

Well I know one thing I have never felt cheated at the price of the SXMM. Been the best except for the Provari. Provari has no TC and I only vape TC now. But my Provari's are amazing also. I have one from the first batch like 4 years ago and works like new. The DNA's I don't really have an urge to buy one. I bought one of the first DNA40's and never did work right for me since then I'm just not interested. That's just me alot of people like the DNA40 and they have made some improvements since I got mine. I would rather buy another M then a DNA200 for the same price. I love the SX. My S seems every bit as good as a Provari except for it looks like the wreck of the Hesperus.

Legs,

I told you I would let you know what I thought of the RX200.

The build quality is fantastic the battery door magnets are so strong I have trouble pulling it off, and it vapes like a champ. Ni200 single coil, 0.14 ohms 25 watts 450 TP (never hits TP)
