I never EVER charge a mod that has batteries running in series. I have seen many mods become glorified paper weights due to this charging method. Either it bricks the mod or messes up the port preventing future updates. Just speaking from personal experience. To each his own.

And...it is likely you never used charger that did precise balanced charging of batteries in series, 2S and 3S LiPos, or, 2 and 3 series Li-ion.

Balancing makes a world of difference. This is probably where the RX 200 chip is now failing, or was broken in Wismec's recent update.

And... It is even more likely that reguardless of a device having precise balanced charging, I still won't use this method. I'm overly cautious and I would rather not take the chance of botching up my port or nuking my mod. I try to avoid trouble at all costs. That's just me though. I'm the type of person that even though I'm right handed, I put my mod in my left pocket so the button snap on the right pocket doesn't scratch my mod. I go one step further. I put it in the left pocket using my right hand. I do this because I don't want to risk my wedding band scratching my mod while I'm putting it into my left pocket so it won't get scratched. Agreed. Please move the Reuleaux and such discussions to another thread (e.g., Reuleaux RX200). A little off-topic discussion is fine, but extensively discussing non-YiHi mods here isn't helpful to the community.

Moderator agreed. Please move discussions about Reuleaux to such threads so as to keep this one on topic.

Thanks.

Wow!...ummm...you put it in your left pocket using your right hand? This requires lots of training I think.

I was away for a few days and when I came back I thought I was in the wrong thread.

Thanks, Legs. Since I haven't upgraded to software 1.08 yet, does that mean I can still charge via USB?

And how does the Reuleaux know whether it's being connected for upgrade purposes or connected for recharging purposes?

The rest of the story: I didn't even know that USB charging was possible, and I forgot to bring a battery charger with me while I'm out of town for a few days, so until I saw your message a couple of minutes ago, I was stuck with using only the iStick TC 40 that I brought with me because the charges on both the DNA 200 and the RX 200 that I brought are now depleted.
All I know is 2 guys got the same exact problem USB charging after the 1.08 upgrade and bricked their RX's doing exactly the same thing not reading the batteries are charged on 2 of them and one only showing .35v. Don't take the chance I think the 1.08 did something to the charging circuit. Nuff said on this thread about the RX but wanted to answer the question.

Question; I upgraded to 2.32 when the upgrade and noticed that I had to drop the temp lower by about 70 degrees. I found the Vape much warmer than before with 2.21.
I went back to using Kanthal for about a month.
Just built a .08 NI200 coil set the temp to 300 and can't get the temp over 270 @ 35 joules.
Locked the resistance and temp to 27 degrees.
What am I forgetting or not doing. Also using the manual TCR @ 0.00600

Try using a TCR value of 609. Why 27C degrees? That is almost 81F which is a pretty high ambient temperature. If your ambient temperature is 72F then you should use 22C for a value.

I used 27 because I thought it was a good average. I'm in Florida. I raised the temp to 340 tried 609 temp went lower. Dropped it 580 and it's getting closer to to 340. I guess maybe the numbers are more of a guide and need to dialed in to the wire.
I thought it was more of an absolute value. Am I on the wrong track with this thinking?
Thanks.

It is the actual ambient temperature at the moment you lock the resistance.

This has probably been mentioned. So my advanced apologies. I have tried TC and I despise it. All I have tried is NI200. I don't want to try Titanium due to the fact that I'm allergic to it and I don't want to risk it. So I'm looking to get some 304 stainless steel. Anyone know the best place to get this at?

That looks like locked ohms are higher than the coil really is

Had it a few times myself and just vape something else as canted be a**ed to mess about sometimes

Go back to it in the morning, ohms lock in correctly and vapes as it should hitting expected temps

When in a rush to use it, I throw the tank/mod as one in the fridge

Get it back out after about ten minutes, leave stand for ten and then ohms lock in correctly

Found in the summer I had most problems, put it down to warmer ambient and my warm juice increasing coil temp/resistance

Went back this morning and had the same issue. Locked the resistance in ,lowerefthe ambient temp. Either the atty is not making a good connection (tried the Uwell crown). I also threw the pre made NI 200 coil and the SX toasted the coil. Actually the worst burnt smell I have experienced in 3 yrs.
Additionally I tried to track the TCR of the wire and found that it came from Fast Tech. Not knocking Fast tech but I would never order Vape wire from them. (I picked the wire up at a B&M
I still have some 28 gauge wire which I know worked well prior to the 2.32 update.
Going to order some new NI 200 TI 1 and see what happens.
Am I missing any of the steps required to get a stable reading ?
Thanks ,

I can try that .0052 TCR. Question,
Why such a big swing in TCR curves for the same wire.
The 0.0060 are the Steam Engine calculations.
Thanks,

The answer to that question is in this thread somewhere as I do recall them chatting about it but skipped over it .... it would take some finding

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Asking over there should yield the answer though

The TCR's I posted are what they should be
