I was thinking of ordering a jwraps dual carbon fiber wrap but I don't know what colors will go best. I was thinking a silver/grey front and black body to sort of match the colors already making the mod looks great imo but adding that cool carbon fiber look/protection of the vinyl. I have clear carbon fiber but that usually looks better on brighter colored mods imo but maybe when It gets here Ill throw some on to see how it looks since I got so much of it.

Vapor skinz and Jwraps are pretty good. I just ordered one to protect mine :) I notice a difference. I can't say huge but I can say small either. With NI200 the vape seems smoother and denser. Maybe it's just me too :D

Thanks man. The carbon fibre ones look cool and soft, might look into those!

It's a stunner though!

Are there any covers for the mini? Would like to protect it from scratches :p

My ni200 hasn't arrived yet but I can tell you this seems to be vaping more consistently than my dna30? Probably just placebo, dunno.

Sptz,

I am a little sensitive to nicks and scratches also. That said I would suggest a carrying case opposed to a cover-up mechanism. A good leather case i.e. like I use for my phone may (may) protect the device if it is dropped or while setting it here and there while in transit but full time cover-ups IMO just hide the natural beauty of the device from view.

I know if you are like me you want to protect your device from being marred but it is a catch 22. Hide the natural beauty engineered into the device or prevent normal wear and tear.

I personally go for the natural look of the device which in my opinion the SXmini really shines. Also the natural patina (for lack of a better work) in the collectors arena is considered a good thing and if the device has been refinished to its new look actually reduces the items value.

I am not telling you what to do nor am I suggesting that if you accidently scratch it you won't be very upseting so please whatever you feel suits your personality "Do it". I just felt like adding my opinion to your options.

Regards,
George

PS - Depending on how you use your device remember that any cover-ups will work like insulation and trap unnecessary heat within the device.

Thanks! I actually haven't touched it in a few days, been being lazy and using the ni200 OCCs in my STmini.

That doesn't look too dissimilar from what I did, maybe I'll just try again with a larger ID.

Yeah nothing special here! I've been using 3-4mm builds since I first got into TP and they have worked out very well! I'm actually pretty lazy with my builds anymore and I tend to throw them together and leave them on for weeks lol. Luckily the SX mini M class isn't very picky and you don't have to continuously mess with your builds.

Edit: I've also had great success with parallel and twisted 30 gauge builds on my DNA 40 but so far the most I've done on the SX mini is dual vertical 3mm 28 gauge on my Marquis! I haven't need anything fancy because the volume of vapor has been great on simple builds!

@alee132

Congrats on your purchase. I hope your as happy with youre SXmini as I've been. Being familiar with the SX350 you'll have no problem with the mini's gravity sensor or menu system. I use two devices daily to help me with loss of flavor so I'm switching back and forth regularly. Currently my two favorites are my custom SX350 v2 dual and the SXmini M.

Hi all!
A post above caught my attention. I have been following temp protection for awhile to see if it is worthwhile and haven't been motivated to make the move except if it prevents gunked coils. For most of the 1.5 years I've been vaping I have been using mints/menthols, juices that don't really gunk up wicks. I have recently expanded my flavor profile to juices that seemingly gunk a wick in a tank or two. Question to those with more knowledge and experience then me: does temp control help prevent gunking?
Thanks
Rick

You can expect the same gunking as kanthal. Temp control does eliminate the nasty taste that coil gunk creates.

Spaced coils, rayon, juice without sweeteners, low power vaping, lower VG ratio (maybe) all help to reduce gunking.

Check out the rayon (JeremyR's thread) thread. Several folks beat the 250ml barrier with low gunking. Lots of pics and helpful people.

I've checked yihi's site and can't find any manual, tutorial, or any how to videos on the sx350j. .. could someone point me to such Yihi info ... all the info here in the thread is good but I can't even determine if the board does any refinement, is capable of auxiliary switches, has a balancing usb charging circuit, warranty info, and etc. etc. I'd like to look at actual documentation if anybody can share it.... thx

Nor could I with evolv i mean the best they could come up with was no detailed temperature instructions in the official evolv manual and a terrible interview with Busardo who has no idea of monitoring sound levels!

Seriously let evolv deal with there business intelligence i mean we know why you and the Dr sit in these threads why care about YiHi? Your only reason for posting is to state another product is superior I would never recommended anyone to buy a DNA40, countless board revisions telling everyone the problems are solved and a 8 week warranty turn around with all the hassle after building a mod!

I saw that also... ? That video came from Yihi.... Dual coil suggested 0.065 ohms...

I've been reading this thread for a while and only made 1 post here. Been waiting till I could grab a 350j board (and another China mod that is not the subject here so won't mention it) to test but haven't found any available yet... anybody know of any boards available in the US... Yihi wants 70 bucks plus shipping from China and a minimum MOQ....

Will make a note about the possible screen glitch.... and what is Yihi's warranty RMA process?

Thanks for the link....

THX.... I'll just e-mail Varitube with my questions before purchasing from them....thanks again for the info...

Yep you are right...the 350j is not modder friendly as designed..... may be easier to have new modder enclosures designed for the 350j rather than redesigning the 350j for an existing enclosure used by other technology........

I would think a test using VG would be a better indicator because we don't vape water....boiling point 554F..

Nope.... there are a lot of folks that have no issue with refinement....you just don't hear from them....

ZeroOhm..... you are totally incorrect in your statement highlighted above.... you are only making personal attacks. I have listed every post I have made in this thread...all of which are legitimate posts and none mention any other technology (your post does mention other technology and you state you would not recommend)... ... I post in threads that interest me as does everybody on ECF... I list every post I made in this thread so everybody can plainly see...I welcome a moderator's review of my posts.. and your personal attack... (I don't speak for dr g as it is not my place to do so)../B]

Finally got mine! It's a tad bigger than the s class. The finish is just so freaking awesome looking. It's heavier as well. It feels very solid. I've dropped my s class on the concrete so many times and it keeps on going strong. I love the finish of this device.

Lan,

I am sure that if I dropped my SX on the concrete I would have a concrete repair bill pending. :D

So, for all you early adopters... how is it?? I'd be especially interested in a comparison to the DNA 40, since I've been using one since it was released late last year. Is it as good or better? Or is it worse? Any problems with building? Is it more or less "finicky" than the DNA 40? I really want to purchase one, but I'm wondering if it's worth it considering I already have a couple DNA 40 devices that I'm more or less satisfied with.
