are you guys resetting resistance when changing juices? im having different results when using different juices. one juice i tried i had up to 420F while another (thinner) juice has me down around 320F. the thinner juice that i run at 320F doesnt get any hotter than that but i had no problem hitting 420F with another juice pushing the same 25J.

No I only reset the resistance if changing builds/tanks. I only change the temp if needed for different juice.

Does anyone else think it was a bit short sighted to only have the Joules setting in the memory bank? Would make more sense, IMO to have both Joules AND Temp set for each memory location.

Yes and no. While I can definitely see it being useful, I like the memory setting just to switch ramp up times. I leave it on Powerful+ no matter what, and usually keep it at the same temp for most of my juice that I have put through it so far.

Right behind you...
Until I get some 28, I may just try twisted 30 and see how that does. That should put me around the 29AWG resistance levels. I will wait til I get my Japanese cotton in, and some new juice I ordered. You know, waiting for vape mail to try new things.

I have a marquis, dark horse, and a doge v2 I want to try out in TC. See if they can be the fog machine beasts that they are on my mechs.

Actually, twisted 30ga should put you somewhere between 27ga and 28ga, in how it ohms out. And good luck with the Marquis. Love mine with Kanthal, but it's been the biggest pain the .... of all my attys when using nickel. Wicking is a chore, and it just doesn't play nice with a DNA40, partly because the long coil legs and partly because airflow design means less (if any) cool air hitting one side of the coil compared to a more traditional horizontal design.

Do you have the battery extension? Does it still work in Joules mode with the extension? Or does it only do 120W Power mode?

Yes and Jules mode will still work, but still stops at 50j, but in power mode you can go to 120.
The best part of it in battleaxe mode, of you're running it with nickel in joules, will be an extended run time.

Ginger Vaper came through, not bad liquid samples either. Should have set the circuit board to Joules before I took the picture.

Not to mention if I run it with my Kayfun, it will look like I have one on each end! Haha!

My Marquis is working great with dual 28 gauge NI200 coils on the M class but not so hot on my DNA 40!

Yea it is a very heavy device. While I drive my mod basically never leaves my left hand. I had to put my SX Mini down after a while because my wrist started to hurt lol. I've been using my Hana V4m all day today to give my wrist some recovery time.

No pain no gain. The m class should be a good workout.

The 25R's are a good choice. I've been running the Efest (I know, I know ewww...) 18650 38A batteries without issue. Surprisingly they don't get nearly as warm as my LG HE4 batteries. They claim 38A Continuous (which is probably BS) and 60 pulse, so I'm thinking they are similar to the VTC4. They are certainly the best Efest has offered since their 30A rewrapped VTC4 offering. But to be on the safe side, I'd probably go with 25R, HE4, or VTC4 batteries. And yes, the flat tops work great. :)
