Hi - Does anyone know if this tricky little mod will work with the OCC nickel replacement heads for the Kanger Subtank. I've tried them but, with a fritzy board, I can't tell. Also, is it better to send a brand new device that malfunctions to the factory or ask for a replacement? I got mine from Kidney Puncher just today. Wattage control is broken. It seeks 60 watts and burns through coils. HeeHaa!

Yes it works with ni200 OCC. It sounds like that would be a warranty replacement but maybe Kidney Puncher would swap it out for you. Doesn't hurt to ask and it would probably be faster.

Yes this topic has been hard probably due to the nature of electronic communication it's sometimes hard to convey information. So when someone says it's "Not suggested" or "not recommended" somehow that gets turned into "You cant" so for clarity here's the snippet from the online user manual pg. 8 that's brought this up several times in the thread. Also unless they've recently updated the manual the one I downloaded a couple days ago on pg. 13 indicates 450mAh charge.

I have measured it with a USB meter and it is exactly 450mAh.

Not sure about VTC 5s. I only ever really searched for VTC 4s because of the higher continuous discharge at 30A. Better for sub ohm builds. I believe VTC 5s are 20 or 25A. Higher mAh though.

That's why I was asking. I don't sub ohm much anymore and would like to get a battery with more life for my vaping style. I've only used AW IMRs which gave me good service but weren't the best as far as mahs. I've been spoiled with iSticks. :)

Except, you know, TC builds are, sorta, like, um, well, sub-ohm. Still a respectable amp draw, can exceed 30a on the SX350J if you build as low as 0.05 and push all 50j through it.

That said, the way we vape on a regulated box is really a pulse, not continuous, when you consider the applications these batteries were designed for and how they define pulse. 30-90 seconds falls in the pulse range.

I see. I would still go for the VTC 4s. Even with one of my VTC 4s in my SX Mini it starts to get warm with builds at .09ohms and lower.

I'm new to TC. I've had a Vapor Shark for about a week and gettin an SX Mini m this week. I will probably just use kanthal builds for a while until I get used to it. I suppose you have to use nickel builds to take advantage of the TC

Yea. ni200 for both mods (if your Vapor Shark is a DNA 40 model).
