I hear you but I just prefer to use VTC4 over anything else on the market. Better safe then sorry. It also allows me to use more than just an ni200 build on the go if I wanted to. Sometimes I carry around my Mutation X V3 with a .20ohm or less parallel kanthal coil in it.

How do you know when you are plugging the numbers in to the Ohms calculator how many watts you are using. I am assuming that a .1ohm coil running at 25J will not go over the 20a continuous that I have on my AW IMR 2200Mah batteries but how can you figure it out. How many watts are you pushing or does your watts setting in power mode carry over to the Joules mode?

It's definitely not the juice. I hear the juice vaping at the same time and it's making a different noise.

I wasn't trying to imply it was the juice burning making the noise. Just a way for you to try and isolate and perhaps identify where the noise is coming from. If your absolutely certain it's coming from inside the casing maybe you should contact Yihi as it seems to be isolated to your Sxmini, maybe they could shed some light on it for you.

I'll dry burn it when I get home to double check but I'm 99% positive it's coming from inside the device.

I really hope nothing is wrong with it. I don't know how good Yihi warranty service is but the last time I sent something in to China it took over a month to get back.

I just ran my Marquis bone dry to check the " Dry Coil No Liquid " warning. Worked like a charm. 420F still produced vapor, but no flavor really. No burnt cotton taste at all. It took forever to come on.... you can run it really dry!!
I really have nothing bad to say about this device. The only thing that would make it better for me would be if the memory banks stored more then just the power setting.
Off to build a nickel coil for my magma.

I read earlier on in the thread that someone had to have something RMA'd and Yihi did all the coordination with a vendor in the states and it was extremely smooth. Personally I consider it a plus when the manufacturer coordinates and manages any warranty problems rather than dealing with a retailer that may be in business one day and gone the next.

If I were still married that would be reason enough to not wear the ring.....then again *if. Hahaha

Well after 20+ yrs of being married I think it would raise some serious issues or at least questions if I quit wearing it now. :) Thinking of getting a wrap but having a hard time navigating the site to get the dual tone carbon fiber.

That would be me... ;) I sent them a pic of the damaged 510 gasket (more than likely my fault from attempting to force a Magma all the way down on a 1st release SXmini S) to show them. The vendor I purchased it from had none in stock, or I would have needed to go through the vendor.

I just tested my M Class out.. It does make a slight buzzing noise only in TP mode. When switched to power mode, the noise is not present. I assume that it may be due to the voltage fluctuations when in TP mode. It's functioning just fine, and I'm not going to worry about it. I'm certain that Varitube would handle the 1 year warranty quite well if it ceases to function..

I was going to do a wrap on my vaporshark DNA but I sent it to ocd to have it cerkoted....little did I know this would come in while they had it.

Now I'm in no rush for it to return.
Curious about the paint job but I don't see it getting much use, unless this goes in for a pain job.

I haven't worn my wedding ring since I got the thing, haha. I've never really liked wearing it though, but now I have an excuse. Sorry honey, can't damage the finish on my sx mini.

What were your temp & joule settings? And what resistance were you using to test? Going to have to see if the wife or kids can hear it tonight because i'm OCD and just have to know. :D

This was with the new Gimlet head (spec'd @ 0.20) that I installed.. When I first set it the other day, it was 0.25 IIRC. It's now setting @ 0.22, just like the other one. Anyhow, 0.22 / 25.0J / 425F.. I really didn't notice it before, since I'm usually drawing on it, and not attempting to hear anything other than normal firing sounds. ;)

Twisted 30 gauge 3mm ID 6 wraps 0.08 ohms initial resistance. Magma RDA 25 J 420 F. Working nicely. I wanted to see how working with post holes would do. Had to be gentle on the grub screws so the wire would not be cut off. I will check the connections and the resistance again after I vape on it for a while.
Has anyone noticed any resistance changes ( of significant value, whatever that might be??) after vaping on a coil and resetting the resting resistance? I build my coils wick and juice and then set my initial resistance. I am curious, will the 350J chip dynamically check and display the coil resistance if it changes? I haven't noticed any changes on the display, but if I reset my coils after using them the resistance may have gone up 0.003-0.005 ohms. The display only shows hundredth of an ohm. Purely an academic question because all my coils have worked and vaped fine for me.

So I just noticed something. My SX Mini makes a humming noise while it's firing. It is very quite but I haven't noticed it until now. Does anyone else's make this noise?

I hear it too if i put it next to my ear. Sounds like the buzz of electricity flowing. While vaping the sweet sound of cracking juice drowns it out
